im at 10k i just hear that changing it makes shifting much smoother getting all the factory break in metal out of there

might want to research the different ratings they have for oils, seems like the service manual says use GL3, but Amsoil sells GL4.

If you want some free fluid you can go down the dark alley and suck it from a hose.



Google the oil doc. I think the site is bestoil4you.com or something like that. He has good prices and knows Evos well. I get all my amsoil from him.
Gear Lube 75W-90 API GL-4 (MTG) - I believe thats what I got.

just check craigslist. There are a lot of amosil dealers that can help you out without waiting for shipment. My amsoil guy (lives down the street) always has product in stock.

The Evo 10's manual transmission oil is lighter than the Evo 8/9. It is 75w80... a 75w90 will work but IMHO too thick.

I am running Redline MTL 70w-80 and it works great. Feels a lot more mechanical and less mushy than the stock fluid.

i hear great things about amsoil so i was trying to stick with them but will do more reseach on redline... which redline oil did you buy?
