: Invisible Bra

Did anyone here with an Evo X get an invisible bra installed? I'm wondering how well it fits into all the weird hood scoops and front end features? When I bought my last car I declined the invisible bra and have regretted it because I now have several chips in my bumper and hood from flying rocks. I've always said that I'm going to get one on my next car, but I just want to make sure it's not going to look weird if I do. :)

Depends on how much you want to cover, but its usually in the $600-$1000 range here in the Pacific Northwest.

$600-$1000? Might as well repaint the front end at that point.

Don't they make a "spray on" clear bra now?

My wife got one on her Miata, it was about $800 for the front end plus the back sides of the mirrors. I watched the guy do it for a few minutes. It's not a spray, it's like a clear vinyl sticker that they cut to shape, stick on and then press out all the bubbles.

I'd love to see pics of anyone who's got one on their Evo X.

I'd like to see up close near the hood scoops and other body moldings to see if it sticks out like a sore thumb or not.

I had a local shop in Colorado do it. He uses all 3m and he cuts it all by hand or with a digital cuter.

make sure you get it behind the front tires and in front of the rear tires and up the door a bit. It gets hit with rocks bad in thoes two spots.

I wont drive a car that doesn't have the clear bra.My last car had the front bumber and hood and after 45000 miles not a chip on it.Dont know how hard it is to take off I have never had to have it removed. The only bad thing about clear bra is that if you get bug splater on it and you dont wash it off it can discolor the bra.(dont leave bug guts on the bra for more then a day or so )

How bad are the roads over there? I had my M3 4 years and found two small stone chips. Had my 350z a year and there were none. I thought all your highway tolls kept the roads in good order?

Im still chuckling that you car needs a bra. we just have tits on the inside of the car

The roads are not bad but in the winter in Colorado we get snow weekly and they put down the little rocks and all that damn mag chlorid for deiceing. Just last week I had the pea sized rocks glued to the side of my car by all the nasty road muck.So for me clear bra is a must. If you see a car that doesn't have it they look like they got shot with a shotgun full of rocks.

Nice I might try and look into one of these clear bra's for my future cars. I ride the freeway a lot and trucks, mostly, kick rocks on my car.
