Q: I'm a new user, but I cannot vote in polls. Is there a reason for this?

A: There are two main reasons that this may occur. It may be due to one or the other or both.

Reason 1: Your post count is not high enough
We have established a minimum post count of 50 to be eligible to vote in polls. This was done mainly due to the Monthly Member Contests (http://www.evoxforums.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=122). In order for a vote to be valid for a given month's contest, it is required that a user have 50 posts.

Reason 2: You haven't been a member of the EvoXForums long enough.

If you're a new user that has just recently signed up, you may have to wait a few days in order to be eligible to vote in polls.

Aside from not being able to vote on polls, there are a few minor features and sections that you may not have access to until you're a verified member by meeting the above criteria.

The way to remedy this is to make a few valid posts in some threads, and spend a few days getting to know the people on the forums. Telling us a little about yourself in the Member Intro Thread (http://www.evoxforums.com/forums/showthread.php?t=12) is a good place to start. Once the system is happy with you as a user, the filters will become far more lax, and you will be allowed to vote in polls.
