: Some common formulas

At the root of everything is math (no pun intended). These formulas have helped me out a ton during my EFI tuning session on the Evo. Hope they can help you too!

HP = (Torque * RPM) / 5252
Corrected BHP = BHP * (1-((elevation/1000)*.03))

PSI = (Hg * 3376.85) / 6894.757

Volumetric Efficiency
VE = (Actual CFM * 1728) / (CID * RPM)
or
VE = (Actual CFM / Theoretical CFM) * 100
or
VE = (HP * 792001.6) / (AP * CR * CID * RPM)

CID = Cubic inches of displacement
CFM = Cubic Feet per Minute
CR = Compression Ratio
AP = Atmospheric Pressure in psi

Injector Flow rates
HP = (IFR * number of injectors * .8) / BSFC
BSFC = Pounds of fuel per hour / Brake horse power

For safe estimation, use a BSFC of .5

All that brought down to one formula using my Boolean Algebra...

X > IX

I'm going to make my previous comment a shirt.. LOL where it at all the Evo meets in the area RIOT!!

The Corollary to X > IX is EVOXF.c > EVOM.n

X > IX

That equation is correct.

All that brought down to one formula using my Boolean Algebra...

X > IX
since (IX > (all other cars != X))
& X > IX,
then X > everything;

since (IX > (all other cars != X))
& X > IX,
then X > everything;

I can find no fault with that logic lmao

What is the formulae for calculating injector latency?

Since Evoscan will not output Injector Duty Cycle:

IDC = (IPW * rpm) / 1200

IDC = Injector Duty Cycle
IPW = Injector Pulse Width

MgO - magnesium oxide
MgF- magnesium fluoride
MgCl- magnesium Chloride

I have a question for anyone with the knowledge to answer it lol? I am working on my evo piece by piece. After all my bolt ons are done I'm going to take it to a dyno and turn the boost up to about 24 if not 25. What hp can i expect to get to the wheels? general ballpark?

It really depends on what mods you add. But the usual numbers are around 350.
