Hey Albertans!

There is now a forum option for teams (http://www.evoxforums.com/forums/showthread.php?goto=newpost&t=22977)!

Now, if you're like me, and you see all these SoCal (http://www.evoxforums.com/forums/showthread.php?t=22980) people getting all excited about how awesome their team is going to be, you'll feel slightly angry inside. They already have nice weather, why should they get to have a fancy Evo X team?

Well! Let's destroy them. Now, I know that we're all Evo brothers and all, but what's wrong with a little sibling rivalry? Nothing! Competition breeds excellence, and excellence is what my car eats for breakfast. Or maybe that's Porsches. I get confused sometimes.

I know there are tons of your guys out there, so let's get together and do this right. We need at least 6, but if we can get 10 to start out, that's only $20 (USD) a person to get cool forum swag and a reputation.

Too bad it's a crappy time of year for meets. Most of us will have the Xs away. Not me though, AWD + Winter = Win.

Just remember for meets during the week I can't make it to edm before 7 during the week, but I'd love to have meets for sure, my 4x4 club has wings every wed, every week might be a little much to start, but it'd be nice I think like once a month or something like first monday of the month or something like that?

There should be enough interest in a western canada evo site, just like WSC. With that kind of money you could easily start that up. If anything, my money would go to getting a local forum up and running like that, not funding one that is already functioning (as a forum, and more importantly as a business). Unfortinatly, I have no interest in paying to be part of any team or club. That being said, good luck!

I think we can just agree to disagree on this one ;) I don't believe evom can't be in the same sentence IMHO. Thus not even close to reinventing just taking the idea evom had and making it really happen maybe, more of a execution thing then reinvention ;)

Completely understood! You're also already active in a car community (780), so that's another reason that you don't really need us.

While it would be nice to have a Western Evo Club, I personally really enjoy this forum as a source of information and products, and think that the "Local Team" idea is a great way to branch out. Although the price tag may seem steep, split amongst members and the materials/etc you get is actually reasonable. I don't think that starting the team thing is a way for the forum/owners to make money. While it is possible, I don't think that's what they're going for.

Really, it would just be a nice way to showcase our local Evo meets, which haven't happened yet. I'm hoping this will be a good motivator for us to get together!

I usually head to edmonton once a month or so, this will make the trip that much more enjoyable! :yay:

lol I've been loving my car in the snow/winter :godance:

Gets dirty as hell though, I don't even have mudflaps haha.

I drove it last year but now that it's lowered and such it's parked for this winter already. Plus I don't have headlights ATM :)

Imay need to raise the height a half inch or so to stock height but I drive my car year round.

Aha, but CAD? That should be aboot 215 which is probably the amount of change sitting under my seat at the moment (Hard to keep stuff in pockets with these low recaros). Ill definitely be trying to make it, a concert I have to attend is around the 12th so all should be well.

Updated, and awesome! The more the merrier!

Went back to Cam today, werent able to make much more power but we smoothed out the powerband a lot and improved spool by 300rpms. I sit at 356whp on 94 octane, 28psi tapering to 24 at redline. Now I wish i had an AP so I could do a race gas tune and make the 400whp :duh:

As well if you guys designed a logo that wasn't so hard to reproduce I have a decal cutter and will provide decals for our club in a couple colors. (when I say provide I mean I will cut them and supply the material some body has to help peel maybe more than just one somebody). Lightspeed has been dedicated to the EVOX from the time we heard they were coming to Canada and if you know about us before that it was for our DSM work as well. Let me know how we can be involved. If you have trouble collecting all the $$ let me know as well.

QE2 was mess I locked the trans into full lock for the drive home and took my time. One thing other than that one idot we saw today everyone seemed to be driving quite sensibly on the way home.

Glad to be here Justin. Used to come here alot but couple PM's to me kind of soured it here. I have to be honest sometimes it is hard coming to a place and seeing your name being abused. Figured I would give it a try again. :)

Hey I'm fairly new to the community, I'm in Calgary and wouldn't mind coming out to some of the meets. Count me in I guess.

I'm a designer and can help out with the logo/whatever. In terms of the name some ideas are Western Evo Club (WEC), pretty close to WSC though or Mitsubishi Evos of Alberta Team (MEAT)? :-D

Hey I'm fairly new to the community, I'm in Calgary and wouldn't mind coming out to some of the meets. Count me in I guess.

I'm a designer and can help out with the logo/whatever. In terms of the name some ideas are Western Evo Club (WEC), pretty close to WSC though or Mitsubishi Evos of Alberta Team (MEAT)? :-D

I will be bringing out my APR VG, trying to sell it. Was fitted on my car once then removed for poor fit (sunroof). I believe it will fit an aluminum roof fine, its not a perfect piece so I think id let it go for around $150.

Since im upgrading my turbo come spring im either going to buy an o2 housing to hook up to my tp/dp or ditch that one all together and get a new testpipe with something like the MAperformance downpipe with divorced o2.
