Um that is the point. It creates a vacuum in the areas that there is an opening and blocks turbulence in areas air is not needed. It's just like that aero dynamics PDF of the Evo X where the plastic on the sides of the IC actually "push" more air into the oil cooler, although it looks "more blocked off"

I can only imagine how much turbulence from air flow would be created in the front wheel wells if air flow to them were allowed...

this, the cyber evo, the hks trb02 evo, and the evasive evo are all examples of true track cars! perfect! though i would drive that shit to work just to scare anyone i saw. imagine that thing bearing down on you through some turns. it probably wins just from the fear factor it creates
