Now that we've gotten that out of the way, I would like to introduce to everyone the Decmber Monthly Evo X Member Contest! This month's theme is the Best Evo X GSR Launch Video. We want you to go out and do the absolute best launch in an Evo X GSR, record it, put together a good video, and then post it up along with the two other required photo's.

This month's contest is only for Evo X GSR owners! Make sure you've read the rules in the above link! Again, read the rules outlined in the above link! There will be absolutely no street racing video's entered. If one is entered, the entry will be disqualified, and the member will recieve an infraction.

I want to reiterate that you want to go out, be creative, and have some fun with your X! There is going to be some fierce competition for this months contest, you will need to go above and beyond to come out on top!

Enter deadline is December 26th, 2009. After that date, we will hold a public vote and determine the winner!

In the parameters of this contest, no street racing is basically saying don't pull up to a stop light where other people & cars are around & act like a jackass. If you find a nice country road w/ no one around you, that would be acceptable.

I dont see the problem here. I mean if you are in an empty parking lot and you crash.....then your a dumbass. But Like Steph said, street racing is racing is easily identified and you should know the difference

Too bad my car is out at least another week or more :ghey: my aquamist kit starting going crazy and i got a misfire and now the car is at Ivey and its an injector issue. Gotta send my injectors to Deatschwerks and they gotta fix/replace the problem one and send it back. This could take some time. I HOPE i get it back in time for this...i really want to be able to get some launches recorded.

yea the injectors have only been in the car for about 3 months.

everything happened at once so im not postitive how they might relate to each other but i was cruising and was at partial throttle and noticed a slight power loss and at the same time i can hear my meth pump in my trunk just goin crazy (making a consistant buzzing noise) and my aquamist gauge is also telling me im spraying even though im not in boost...and then my CEL went on. so i just pulled into the first parking lot and shut the car off. from what Sean was saying it may be the actual brain/box of the Aquamist that went bad and was triggering these problems with the kit...but im not positive.

It is...i love Aquamist kits. Don't let this make you think they are bad kits. The kit that is in my X now is the same one that was taken out of my IX. So it's had its use. And im not positive if it is the actual box to the kit that needs to be replaced or the other issues cause something to happen. Sean will hopefully let us know.

Well I shot the video with a flip camera and the camera was sideways and that was a chore figureing out how to rotate it back. I could have gone back out today and did it again but I'd have to dig a hole for the camera becaue I would probably hit it if it was straight up and down.

I've launched my car on the street quite a few times. The last time I did I think I beat the clutch up pretty bad; clutch burn smell for days!

well the wife might not get her suv back from the repair shop before i have to drive to PA for xmas which means i would have to replace my tires for the trip home. if this ends up being the case i will have to burn off what tread is left and ahve a few more like the last powerslide =)

so im finally picking up my car today...but i still dont know if im gonna have time to put together a video...

1. I dont have a camera...its a best buy getting warrentied.

2. My car isn't 100%...the injector problem is solved...but Aquamist wants to review a part of the kit before they go ahead and warranty it...and they're in England. So as of now im picking up my car with the meth disabled and the car re-tuned for that. So im making alot less power for the time being.

3. The deadline is in 4 days.

i tried to grip as much as possible, i misunderstood the intention of the best launch =P if i knew ya'll wanted a ton of wheel spin i would have just dropped the clutch like the last one in my vid. still waiting to hear back from the wife if i have to drive my car up north which means new tires before i go which also mean more wheel spin to append to the end of the vid

Hands down if it was based on best launch and i recorded my launch last night it would be a wrap!!! Videos to come!!!!

ahhh Computer sh*t easy I used windows movie maker tells you how to edit it anything I did was just shorten my clips up so would not be 10 mins of video just couple mins of none stop launchs.

ok i need help....My sis has a mac and im tryin to upload my video to the movie maker to attempt to edit it & when i connect the camera to the computer nothing is coming up....anyone give me a had the camera is a sony digital handycam DCR-PC101....its a piece soo please help got some good videos even tho it was redic hard to hook up in the wet & salt everywhere

Is it iMovie? It may take a little bit, but in my '09 version, go to "File" >>> "Import to Camera". Give it a little & it should work. I've never had it not work, but sometimes it wants to default to the integrated computer camera, when first opening the program. Try accessing the import feature a little after opening.

yes it is I movie....If it doesnt work i guess ill have to use the HD camera my bro just got and do another 20 launches hahaha
