: Car Polish & Wax

HI All,

I've heard from numerous people that Zaino is one of the best waxes to use. Is this true? I've always used a Meguiars 3 stage wax that had the paint cleaner, polish, & wax. Then when I didn't feel like going through those numerous steps I would just use a layer or two of a carnauba wax or Zymol polish. I'm all out of polish & wax & need to go get some more to hopefully do my car this weekend before it starts to get cold outside. My paint doesn't need any special care or anything so a clay bar won't be necessary. I'll be using a buffer to apply the polish & wax, not by hand. What are some of the best products to use & where's the best places to find them?

Thanks in advance.

I personally use Zaino because it lasts longer.

the only place I've seen it was online. I stick with Maguires and use tech shine once a week. The Zaino is suppose to be the best, but too many options and variants so I'll stick to the basics.

I'm switching from my old blitz to P21S for this coming season, to be used with tech shine once a week. Tech Wax I'm unhappy with, Blitz has been doing nicely for the past 5 years I've been using it but time for something more. I almost picked up Zaino but like you said, too many choices ;)

To add to that, might get more serious about detailing and pick up an orbital polisher.

Not to be confused with Tech Shine (this thread)...Tech Wax - I didn't get the best results. Others report it works great for them. But side by side on my hood and some body panels, the carnuba wax looked and felt better. Got a deeper shine than tech wax.

I haven't tried tech shine (this thread's product) yet.

Anyone know what can be used to clean clear bra's? The breathable clear bra's yellow a bit in the winter.

I've always wanted to use zaino products but its so confusing on what to choose. What zaino products you guys use for a full detail?
1. wash/prep?
2. polish?
3. wax?
4. Maintenance?

They explain all the products here. It might help answer your question:

I think some of the confusion is because there is some overlap to the product usage.

If you're located in LA, the west coast Zaino distributor guy is in LA. lol

I've been using Smart Wax / My Chemical Guy stuff. I have a friend who works there so I get a slight discount. I'm happy so far with their products

OP is right though...I hate going through the numerous steps of applying stuff. I already take at least 1.5 hours to do a regular wash on my car. lol

Thanks. Yah I read that part and it seems like I should just use all the products. I got the prducts to use with meguiars but I'd like to try zaino.

So...after having not used my array of Zaino products for a while and then doing a full detail on my Evo and using the Zaino stuff again, I have to admit that yes, it is awesome/better than the rest of the stuff I had been using and that I had forgotten its awesomeness. LOL. It really is THAT good and it isn't super pricey if you consider the fact that it lasts a long time, (both due to the little amount that you use and its durability).

There are lots of good products out there.

Zaino is highly promoted but there is stuff that is just as good as or even better. Not to say Zaino is not good but there is no "holy grail" of car detailing. No matter what product you use, it requires a lot of work to get the results.

Are you guys in the cold states waxing about once a month? I'm washing about once or twice a week and feel I should be waxing more any suggestions? I'm using Meguiers-nxt wash.

Meguiars NXT is horrible. Get the Meguiars Gold Class. I've been using it for years on my cars right after a good claybar'ing.
