: EVO Vs GTS

I hope the EVO X will have all the technology that my GTS has and I will definatly switch. If not im going to stay with my GTS and just supe up the engine.

I'm 99% sure it will. Should be a nice transition for you if you trade in your car for the X. You'll know everything about the bells and whistles, you'll just have the new performance to get used to. ;)

im not sure yet Im not a big fan of manual cars and i dont think they will offer a CVT for the X if they do then thats great if not im not sure if ill trade mine in for it, id just have both! :D

I'll say so, Continues Variable-T would be sick sick sick... But @ the same time nothing can take away the feeling of a true STANDARD!

im thinking about just putting in a turbo and seeing how it comes out maybe ill just stay with this one and just completely customize it.

It will cost you more in the end to customize your car, and in the end, your car won't be as reliable or perform as well as the Evo.

Here's a plan for you to get the X.. You can't let the fiance drive it AT ALL... This will REALLY make her want to drive it.. Just be like, "I really can't take the chance honey" and then insist on driving her car to show her that it isn't so special.

Then, in a year.. She'll REALLY want your car

RalliArt has just been released..
there are people who buy Evo's and modify....everything...lol
intercooler kits/turbo kits/wide-body kits/suspension kits/engine blocks/cams... the lot.
So if they are going to replace all that anyways..
why don't they buy a RalliArt (I think ti has the 4B11 engine aswell, all aluminum n' whatnot) and then getting the turbo n' what not they were going to get....with bigger stabilizing bars and so on.

Is the underbody engineering of the EVO X different? (other than diffuser's)....is the chassis different?
RalliArt has foldable seats but Evo X doesn't because they have put the windsheild washer n' whatnot in that place (said the salesmanager) so in what ways is the Evo X different from a fully modified RalliArt? (as in underbody....and other things which we cannot see and affects the perfomrance)

Also is the Super-all wheel drive different in the RalliArt? I know the SST is the same.

The Ralliart doesn't use the Evo X's S-AWC instead it uses the Evo IX's all wheel drive system. The chassis is not comparable to the Evo X and neither is the suspension or the brakes or other things for that matter.

To the OP what exactley did you mean by "tech"? As far as I know the Evo X has all the technologies available in the GTS and then some.

haha, I do. I had a GTS with CVT before the Evo. The CVT isn't bad. It's interesting when you leave it in auto and are accelerating cause it never really shifts. So it just goes to that optimal rpm and holds their. The paddle shifts were fun, sometimes they wouldn't shift immediatly, but it was still fun.

My biggest issue with the lancer was that it was all looks and no balls. I mean, the car just didn't have enough power to back up its appearance. I loved the way it looked though, and hence why I bought the evo which just looks even better and is awesome performance. The ralliart I'm sure I would have also been happy in, but since I could afford the GSR then I decided to not make the same mistake I did the first time and buy the ralliart and then want the EVO.

As far as technology goes, besides the performance technologies like the SAWC and also the HIDs, the EVO and GTS are identical. So anything you can get on the GTS you can get on the EVO, just on the GSR you might have to do a little work to install the bluetooth and steering wheel audio controls, but whatevs.

Another one told me that there's a video of some MR with 1000hp on youtube...don't know if he was trying to sell me the evo here again...
anyways he got me so I went for the MR :D

I don't know whether the head gasket is different between the RA and the Evo (it very well may be) but everything else he said is pure bullshit. You can change the head gasket on any car, it will be able to handle a bigger turbo with supporting mods and there is no 1000hp MR anywhere, heck there isn't even a reported 1000hp GSR for all I know.

I had an 08 lancer GTS loaded and traded it for a 08 Evo X "MR" best move i made in my life! LOL its is nice to have real power under your feet. The auto MR is great feels like a stick in manual mode. :godance:
