I just zip tied my license plate to my lower front grill. It blocks the intercooler a tad, but showed no change in knock by doing so. You could always fold part of it over...

That online petition has been around forever and I hate to say it but online petitions carry no weight. I don't run the plate and it is a fix it ticket when you get a ticket.

He Took The License Plate Ticket Back.

well i have never heard of anyone getting stopped for having no front license plate, although im sure its happened before.
most people just get that ticket added to whatever else they got pulled over for... so simple, dont get pulled over for anything else and you should be fine.

Mitsubishi designed the front license plate holder so that it would not interfere with airflow to the intercooler. However, I agree, for a street driven car the intercooler will not be affected. In fact, I know it wont as I have done a before and after datalog

I was pulled over twice when I lived in WA both while abiding the law(besides the plate of course). The second time an officer passed me in the left hand lane. Then slowed, got behind me and pulled me over. He let me go because I had the front plate with me and I gave him my word I would put it on (which I did).

That was the most painful thing: to drill 2 screws into a freshly painted flawless front bumper on my mustang...

thats an old old picture, my calipers are nowhere near as shiney as that anymore

this is what exactly i'm talking about it wont affect the intercooler with this setup on the license plate.
