Schnitzer's R56 package for the new Mini is built around the 170-horsepower turbo engine. The tuner fits a performance exhaust system with chrome tailpipe, as well as a Schnitzer racing suspension developed on the Nürburgring.

An aero body kit bundles a body-color front spoiler and contrasting rear skirt with integrated diffuser. There is a choice of Schnitzer alloy wheels in 17- and 18-inch sizes.

Interior modifications include aluminum pedals and a gauge package.

You can definitely see some BMW inspiration here.

yessir, it looks obese to me too!

<3 the previous generation. The new model looks like they took a balloon model of the old one and just overinflated it a bit too much.

Too bad I get a seizure when I look at the interior of a mini cooper.. tis a tragedy, I would have bought one already if the interior was tolerable. Maybe if I took some sedatives all the time I could drive one :)

You mean you weren't on sedatives?

I was on a drug for all sorts of things at the time http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Serotonin-norepinephrine_reuptake_inhibitor

but I dunno if it was a sedative.. it's used for ADHD, OCD, chronic depression, social anxiety disorder, etc.. :P
