Since 5th gear is so low is there a taller 5th gear ratio available or a final gear change that could affect highway gearing?

Yes I read that Bushur has an upgrade in development, not sure if released yet, let me look for the thread I read earlier.

Edit: it was for a slightly increased final gear.

^ pretty cool, would probably increase gas mileage too

what would the negatives be though? less torque?

its a shorter final drive so you will have more speed and less acceleration. but it would be nice for the drag strip no need to shift out of 4th.

Buschur has it up and running on their car.
Id have to look at the thread but I believe David said either 2650 @ 60mph or 2850 @ 60mph

NOTE: HOLY CRAP is this clutch smooth. I don't know what is different but this is the absolute smoothest triple I've ever driven. EXCELLENT!!!
**4.28 final drive.
NOTE: This change was needed to run the 1/4 mile out in 4th gear without excessive RPM. The gear change combined with the larger turbo does for sure make the car not as fun down low but it still feels great. The RPM at 60 mph is now 2650 rpm.

Yeah this is totaly ment for 1/4 mile but our cars would top out at 176mph instead of 161mph LOL

we've yet to see some reviews about this final drive part,
im very excited about it !!! if someone can get any info from bushur racing that would be excellent!!
by the way i've used a gear ratio calculator , to see hypothetically what speed improvments we might expect from the evo x after such adjustments, n its really worth it!!
example:
4th gear w/final drive 4.28 + rpm 7900 = 127 miles

4th gear w/final drive 4.28+ rpm 8900=146 miles :godance:
(tires are 245/40/R18)
man you will never neeed to shift to 5th gear while racing or draging!! IMO
by the way 5th gear will top out at 207 miles!!!!!!

I've heard 165 with the stock 7600 RPM fuel cut but either way that is with the stock fuel cut off at 7600 RPM. You can bump it up around 170 MPH just by increasing your fuel cut off to around 8K. Did Jestr change your rev limit?
