The rods look a little beefier. That's a good start.

Wonder what that little circle on the piston is?

I may be wrong here, but I believe that grooves like that are used on a piston to optimize fuel dispersion/ignition.

Grooves? No, the four grooves are valve reliefs. I'm talking about that little tiny circle on the top of the piston towards the right.

Whoops! Never mind previous post, I just noticed the little circle you were talking about Dino. It looks like a pin or something. (some kind of sensor maybe?)

A sensor would have an extremely short life inside the combustion chamber.

It must have something to do with the manufacturing process.

It is usually indicating the side of the piston that faces the front(timing chain).

Crazy. I'd be too nervous to open up the head.....

I'll stick to the simple stuff.

4B11T has forged crank and rods, as well as iron sleeves. And yes the dot designates which direction to place the piston in the cylinder

I'm anxious to see what kinds of upgrades they will come out for the SST if any at all to allow it to handle all these mods. Has there actually been any testing on the SST yet to see what it can handle?
