not sure where to put this. so dont flame me for the location of this post. im new to this forum. i found the link here at evom site. im a user over there.

i current drive an Evo IX. im very happy wit the car. mainly cuz its an evo. since the introduction to the U.S. the evo is officially my favorite car. i most say thanks to this site, evom as well, and the recently blitz of articles about the Evo X. im a strong believer in the car. now i do wish it come wit more horse and tq from factory, especially since the new american muscle cars r upping the ante.

i was a doubter just like probably everyone on this site as well as other were at one point. after reading as seeing things, i very happy mitsu didnt drop the ball. i do hope to get a X in the future. not trying to trade my IX if for one. i want to keep the old school and add the new school. its hard though. just went to the dealership and had me a look. the X is one sexy beast. i hoping to get my hands on the second year run. just in case there is any bugs, it will be ironed out. or an XI.

I don't think anyone here hates the 8s and 9s.

I did however, tell the guys on evom that once upon a time, their cars and their motors were unproven too, and to keep an open mind and a positive outlook on the X. Most of them refused. A few are finally starting to come around due to the sick numbers the X is putting down this mods.

some evo 8 or 9 owners gaining respects especially after some tuners like AMS gain 87 whp with only a few mods w/o reflash, still some evo x haters says that motor cannot tolerate 600 and above hp, who need that anyway.

ive noticed the diff between evomnet and here. i like it here better. i dont understand all the bashing of the X over there.

In a nutshell, people fear change, and I'm sure a few of them are jealous about some of the features of the X.

im still a regular at the other forum. its where i got a more detailed knowledge of the evo. i came over here to just learn more about the evo and the evo X. i know evom will come along. i remember when the evo IX came out. there was a lot of hate about them, but slowly the love come. the main thing ive learned about life is we r usually very negative about something new and different. as time goes on and things become the normal, the negative becomes positive.

i think the difference here is that some of us came from an 8 or 9, or at very least wanting an 8 or a 9. so theres really no backwards hate.

you cant really hate the 8 or the 9 cause without them thered be no 10.

well in the evom , the most guys who hate the VIII - IX or make comments about them , they do not have neither of them, so basicly no real back ground behind them .They most likely Subi owners or some other car make . Just check it out.
