After driving cross country, I knew the car was not going to be stock for long. So I started ordering parts for the Evo X, The first arrival was from Vivid Racing. I ordered a RED Blow off valve to replace my stock unit, as I am planning on raising the boost a few PSI and knew that the Agency Power Blow Off Valve can hold up to 30 PSI safely. My biggest fear with the BOV for the Evo X was how my idle would respond, as the Evo 8 & 9 did not respond well to 100% atmospheric. That is not the case in my car, as it idles fine and runs flawlessly. The install was a piece of cake, everything is provided with this BOV. The best part is how easy it is to change from 100% recirculation like stock, to 50/50, and for those who want that turbo “Whoosh” sound 100% atmospheric. is an option. The blow off valve is designed to be used with several different setups and includes the return line plug. The Agency Power Blow off Valve for the Evo X comes in three different colors, Black, Red, or Silver. I choose red as I wanted to match the plastic engine bay pieces. You can see in the pictures the comparison to stock; it is made with the finest materials and is worth every penny. I feel this BOV will take very well to the upcoming mods that will be added to my Evo X. I have owned other brands of BOV’s and the sound of the Agency Power Evo X blow off Valve is one of the sweetest sounds and quality is second to none. Overall a great addition to the X, and well worth it!

Week 1 Update:
Car is idling Perfect @ 100% atmospheric. Gas milage remains the same, which is 17-22 mpg, that what it was at stock also. I am suprised and impressed. The car has been run hard, and is just waiting for more mods. I will go 50 / 50% this week. I have had nothing but compliments, and the first thing most people ask is does it have a BOV yet.

The X stock bov is made well, u don't need to change it unless running high boost.


The bov is the perfect color, now all u need is the rally piping.

^It gets blown into the intake, it's hard to hear because the sound gets muffled in the box. Though, I can hear mine very well on my completely stock MR with the window down.

All I can say is WOW! I just finished installing my Agency Power BOV w/Horn, running 50/50. I could not stop driving around the neighborhood. That is truly a beautiful sound, if you like blow off. I set my tension up a little firm so as to produce a nice flutter sound around ~2-2.8k RPM.

Installation was a breeze and adjustment was even easier. I have to say this is exactly what my car was missing. I can hear it I think easier with the windows up, which I like. I turned up the radio to about 30 on the satnav and I could hear it over even that. I did a drive by for my son and said he heard me coming and going from about 1/8th of a mile and from the other side of the block, when shifting around ~3.5k RPM.

Suffer no delusion, it is loud running 50/50 and this is with the stock air box and K&N drop-in.

Define waste. Because most of YOUR parts equal some sort of gain or improved drive ability. A BOV does neither of those...thus I find them a waste till the stock unit reaches it maximum holding limit.

Stock BOV with intake will not even compete with stock air box and a 50/50, I have tried it, in terms of shoowshhiness.

It is a waste unless you have to have the noise, hell I just saw that Ivey tuned an EVO X from ESX with a GT35 and it was still running a stock BOV.

LOL, in case you didn't know CF does save weight. The spoiler provides nice stability on track and the antenna reduces drag. Hahahahaha. JK! Honestly I don't care, woohoo, I admit I wasted $20 on an antenna. Did nothing for me. All looks. And funny that every one agrees the RA tails should have been stock on the X. HB Speed even runs these tails on thier TT X. But performance to cost wise an aftermatket BOV is not needed for me. $250+shipping could be used for me to better suited items. So will I be seeing you on a track? See how usless my stuff is right...
