Will it be possible to order the MR without the big wing? Or if not, because I prefer to go without the wing and instead add the trunk lip extension, what's the best way to plug the mounting holes left behind after wing removal?

Well, you'd probably have an easy time selling your wing once you took it off, probably enough to pay for the body work and paint required to cover the holes. Or you could swap trunks with a base GSR.

The best way to plug the holes would be to have them welded, ground down, and painted over.
I'm thinking of getting a PB MR, isn't PB only available on an MR? And doesn't the GSX's come w/ wings from the factory too? I'm hoping the wings are a dealer installed option or something they install at the ports where I can take the car w/o it installed and then sell the wing separately.
Is the Evo trunk aluminum?

Ah.. reason I asked is if you swapped trunks with the Lancer you wouldn't be adding weight :)

Yeah, those aluminum pieces are spendy. But metal prices have really gone up over the last couple of years, and aluminum has never been cheap.
