Hey guys,

Quick question I was hoping someone could help answer.

I noticed today when driving my 2008 Lancer Evo MR that when it down-shifts from 2 to 1 (automatic tranny) there is a slight "clunk" noise from under the front area of my car. I've never noticed this before, but then again I have my music on most of the time and the car is still relatively new... (1600kms)

Is this normal? Can anyone shed some insight?

Get use to it, or get it tuned (you can smooth it out a bit with a proper tune, but the SST is as other Twin clutch systems are...clunky). The SST is clunky in the lower gears. Something i've learned in 12k miles on my MR is to down shift yourself. It will help allot, as I have noticed the TCU doesn't like making decisions in lower gears as you approach stops or rolling turns.

Hope your enjoying your MR!
