I have a couple of files on a memory card (SD 2gb) I want to get them off asap.

I have plugged the camera into my work PC via usb, but the folder comes up as a digital camera, and the only files that I can read off of it are images. I know that the other files are there, because I put them on there using my card reader built into my home PC.

Any advice?

Sometimes doing simple steps that you think may not work will. Did you try having the camera connected & restarting the computer? Turning the camera on/off while it's connected to the computer? Show hidden files, under tools I believe (I currently own a Mac & haven't owned a PC in over a year, so I can't remember exactly)?

I didn't have a card reader at work, just the camera and usb, I will try it from home now.

Have you confirmed that the images you see are the ones on the card and not on the camera?

I got the files off of my card reader at home, so that is taken care of.

The issue was when the camera was plugged into the computer via USB, the computer would read it strictly as a camera, not as a storage device (like other cameras that I have had). I think that the internal memory on the camera would communicate to the computer that it was a camrea and put windows XP into "view pictures off of camera" mode. I will try putting the files on xd (my other camera) or micro SD (my cell phone chip)
