What is the point of it? Is there a low speed bumper test in reverse as well as forwards? I guess that is where the extra length comes from. It does incorporate some diffuser ribs, so that is interesting.

Kind of reminds me of my old Tercel's black rubber bumpers. I loved those things, as you could bump and scrape your way around without much bother. :)

LOL... I remeber years ago borrowing my sister's Honda and denting the crap out of the rear bumper backing into a snow bank. They really don't have much give after melting and refreezing several times. :p

Anyway, the bumper guard doesn't look THAT bad. It could certainly been worse (i.e. all the craptastic bumpers that appeared from the 1975 US Fed. mandated 5 mph bumper rule).

Hey... and at least it's not in the front!
