How do I determine what offset a wheel is? I have looked in the back of the wheel and there is a cast number of et42. Is this the actual offset?
Heres a picture.

Will this fit the Evo X if it were +42 offset.
Please help a noob.
Yes, that is the offset; it means the bolt face of your wheel is 42mm from the center.
What is the rim diameter and width?

19x8.5 ADR Fuel bronze with a polished lip.
Okay, then will be 4mm less clearance on the inside, but the wheel will sit inside the wheel well more as your track-width will be shortened by 4mm.
It will probably clear the calipers, but could look worse than stockers.

I was wrong, the wheel is 19x9.5. What size spacer would i need?? Sorry for the dumb questions.
They should fit without spacers, but optimal offset for a 9.5 wheel on the X is 32-36mm without affecting scrub radius/bearing loads to some degree. Not to mention the SAWC.

I dont think the 42mm offset will clear your front Brembos. Thats going to be mighty close.

Edit:
It should fit, but depending on the spoke pattern it might be real close to the calipers.
Also at 9.5 size and +42 the inner wheel is way too close to the struts as there is 17mm less clearance on the inside compared to stock wheels.
