: 12.7 / 108mph
Mrblue107 05-04-2010, 01:34 AM Took my car to KCIR for the import shoot out this past Sunday. I only ran 3 times, but my best time was 12.7 @ 108mph. Stock clutch held up well...no two step, just took it to 4500 and released pretty quick.... Shifted @ 7k each shift and finished in 4th gear..barely!
MODs: Hard pipe, UR exhaust, test pipe, AMS FMIC, MKC tuned @ 350hp /375tq.
Once i get my new clutch i will really give it hell off the line....
Excalibur 05-04-2010, 01:40 AM That's pretty good for just those mods. The clutch will make a world of difference.
dakoop 05-04-2010, 01:43 AM Nice. I really want to take mine to the track.
RR08EVOX 05-04-2010, 02:34 AM Very nice

Nice time! I have similar mods without with FMIC and my best is 12.8. I just need to shift a little quicker and I will have a 12.7.
BUT, be careful what you wish for in a new clutch. I thought the same thing. I got an Exedy Twin HD which is awesome, except now I spin the tires!! The clutch holds so well I am having trouble not spinning off the two-step. So before I had clutch issues, and now I have traction issues. It's always something....lol. I almost got sideways last weekend. All 4 tires were spinning.
I am working though it. Just getting used to launching with a different clutch.
Xenozx 05-04-2010, 09:27 PM just to note, if you can shift at 7500 RPM's, you might have cut a better time doing that, especually in 5th gear.
RallyReX08 05-04-2010, 09:45 PM Very nice man! Can't wait to see what my new time will be after the tune:yay:
Mrblue107 05-05-2010, 01:57 AM I didnt even think to turn off the ASC...but i dont think i ever had power loss. Makes me wonder though...On one launch it felt like the clutch was slipping, but it could have been the damn ASC kicking in. I never smelled clutch, so that could be the culprit for running a 13.04 on another run....
bf360 05-05-2010, 02:54 AM 350whp and only 108 traps? Thought they would be higher, what type of dyno is it on?
New clutch will definitely help you launch a lot harder for sure.
Jasonsrt4 05-05-2010, 03:07 AM May want to go ahead and save up for that new diff pin set too.

Dynojet. I probably should have shifted @ 7500rpm..and taken off the ASC.

Great! Every Evo X tuned by them has been 350/350 range. There are always evos there no matter what day. CHad (tuner) has 2 evos himself

Too bad I'm trying to stay stock for my autocross class, mostly because of the cost of being competative out-of-stock, and because this is my daily driver.
A tune on a stock Evo X wouldn't make 350, would it?

No, you're looking at about 305whp on a Dynojet for a stock car.

Correct! I was @ 279 and 300 with a stage 1 flash and panel filter, and exhaust (no test pipe)
