I have a 2010 Ralliart with not even 1k miles yet. I love the car but the noises are driving me nuts! First noise...when I am at a complete stop and let off the brake to coast but dont give it gas it makes a god awful vibrating/shaking sound and almost feels like its going to stall out.Called the dealership was told to drive it until something breaks..yea that was helpful. Now I am noticing every so often the airconditioner makes an awful noise like its sucking air or gasping for air.It does it every few minutes when running the air conditioner. I live about an hour and a half away from the closest dealership and I figured "ah no big deal its a brand new car how often should I need to take it in" so yea...very frustated any help?:wtfsign:

Rough idle is an issue on the Evo to. As far as the loud fan noise with air on it's normal too. I agree it seems our cars are very loud when the fan kicks on, but it's normal.

The good news, is it sounds like what your experiencing is the cars normal operation.
The bad news, is it gets worse as time goes on :(

Air conditioner is bad. After my tune the idle/deceleration issue is gone.

I feel your pain. I wish my glovebox would not vibrate soo much. I can live with the other noises.

Cyp get rubber stoppers at lowes for you glove box. Like ones for kitchen cabinets. It gets rid of the rattle.

^Sounds good. Should I mount them near the factory rubber bumps?

I just usually place them all around in possible contact places. Make sure the glove box closes nice and tight.

its not the fan coming from the motor it is in the air conditioner..

had I known this I probably would of reconsidered my decision on buying the car.A nice chunk of change to spend on a brand new car just to be dissapointed...now if I bought an Aveo or something Id understand.

All I do is accelerate to the point where I don't hear the other sounds:thumbup:

You will be fine just drive her and some of it might be the car just settling in.

Yeah, get a catback exhaust and just enjoy the drive. You bought a performance sedan, not a Corolla!

Yeah, it is unfortunate the interior fit and finish of the car doesn't really fit the price tag.

What you are paying for is the performance otherwise the interior is no different than the base $14K Lancer... which is only $2K more than an Aveo sedan!

You could get an AMS engine mount, itll improve driving a bit and eventually make everything creak and vibrate even more :P

he means pictures of the car. Its very common to ask for them when someone new joins the forums, so please don't assume.

I recommend a hard engine mount, solid diff bushings, and solid rear diff mounts. The car will vibrate like crazy and the rattling wont matter XD

I live an hour away from a dealership. It's not hard to be that far. Mitsubishi has incredibly limited number of dealers in certain areas.

when i lived in tampa we had three in a 30 mile diameter, not to mention one in like every other neighboring city, which all the cities in fl are close enough to hold hands ,lol

well I live in Bridgeport,Ohio to answer to a few of you. Took the car to the dealership today. They were puzzled so they had to call Mitsubishi tech line. Here my freon level was down to a 1 and it is supposed to be a 5 something they said.Supposedly Mitsubishi has had about 20-30 tech calls in the past few months with this same problem. They fixed and tested and said they couldn't find a leak and that it must of came from the factory like that, which kinda makes sense because since I bought it, it had ocassionally made funny noises when running the a/c but I thought maybe it was just normal. The tech said he cant guarantee theres no leak so lets hope there isnt.

Noises are getting irritating. Looks like there is powerful motors in vechiles. The powerful engines are associated with the noises. Some have the kind of a noise that the neighbour city can be heard.
