aevo86 06-22-2010, 06:09 AM Yeah I had the same question. My trunk resevior is low and I have no clue what fluid or where to get it. I dont mean to hijack but any help is appreciated. Thanks in advance
ScottSpeed21 06-22-2010, 08:27 AM so they are using the same oil? is it diaqueen LSD Gear oil, GL5? where i can get this cheap? thanksThe transfer case and rear differential both use the same gear oil, yes. There's also ATF in the rear differential for the AYC clutches. You can use the factory Diaqueen gear oil or something like Amsoil Severe Gear.
Yeah I had the same question. My trunk resevior is low and I have no clue what fluid or where to get it. I dont mean to hijack but any help is appreciated. Thanks in advanceThe reservoir in the trunk takes ATF. Usually that doesn't get changed, just keep it up to level and you'll be good.

thanks for the information. about 14k miles on the car, i guess i don't need to worry about these until next year. i have 12L diaqueen tranny fluid, two containers of diaqueen lsd and 10+ oem oil filters in my basement lol, always get prepared!
aevo86 06-23-2010, 07:23 AM It's like 14 months old and I have 19,200 miles on it

mlomker 06-24-2010, 01:40 PM Usually 30,000 for transfer case gear oil, rear differential gear oil and rear differential AYC clutch fluid (ATF).
I assume that's for a stock car on daily driver duty? I'm inclined to cut the recommended intervals in half for myself.
Excalibur 06-24-2010, 01:49 PM I change all fluids at every 15k miles.
jackfrog 07-09-2010, 04:05 PM I change all fluids at every 15k miles.
im at 13k now, is it too soon to change all fluids at 15k miles? i got the mr and some mods, i meant, the sst fluids are not cheap at all lol.
DRIV4K16 02-02-2011, 02:41 AM I am at 14k miles and my AWC fluid is just below the min line. I think I am going to go to mitsu pick up some fluid and add it. I can't mix different brands of fluid, can I? I have ATF-SP III fluid but not the mitsu...can I add that?

15k is overkill for DD. You definitely can't hurt it, but there is little benefit to doing it that soon. If you're lead-footed though, I'd do it sooner than the normal 30k.
