: GSR wheels susp and brakes
voodooman79 03-08-2008, 08:38 PM Someone needed to start a thread in this section.
So I say we discuss how crappy the GSR's wheels, suspension and brakes are compared to the MR's.
Go go go!!! :bowlol:
Jackygor 03-09-2008, 12:33 AM um...
on2it 03-09-2008, 10:31 AM My GSR's perfect :)

sl33perz 03-26-2008, 03:25 AM MR should have a Manual Model with a 6 speed:)
Tvall13 03-26-2008, 03:36 AM Actually the reviews i've read said there wasn't a noticeable difference between the way the GSR and MR handled. So I don't think the suspension is much better. If you want the MR breaks I'm sure you can just buy them from Mitsu or maybe even brembo, probably will just be a direct bolt on.

or... you could just get an MR and have the better brakes right off the bat. :bowlol:
soopah 03-26-2008, 06:19 AM Right off the bat? When is said 'bat' flying in? Looks like the GSR is going to be the Evo X of choice, this year at least.

Haha, youre canadian!!! I guess you guys don't have all the same "sayings" The phrase "right off the bat" isn't referring to the animal. Its a phrase that means, right from the start.

Ho ho ho, Green Giant!
Dude, I know we sometimes sound funny, but we speaka da same English as you's crazy Yanks!
What I meant was that you are still waiting on your MR (I changed the meaning of what you said, such that the MR is now the bat and it is no where to be found), and you will still be waiting for some time, when all these other Evo X folks have been rocking their GSR's and enjoying themselves.

Ok well the MR isn't out yet so I was just pointing out that fact that it would not be hard to get the upgrades. Also a lot of people prefer the manual gearbox to the paddle shifts so that puts the MR out of the question.

And voodoo gets schooled yet again.
Nooka King 03-26-2008, 09:15 PM huh dude with the black evo, did you put the mr wheels on your gsr or what?
ddawg1130 03-26-2008, 09:28 PM he's in new zealand or something... the gsr there is not the same as the one here.
on2it 03-27-2008, 06:51 AM yep.. All MR options on the GSR.. except rockford fosgate, leather seats and sat nav.
lovely09 08-20-2009, 03:19 AM Well GSR and MR somehow has both advantage for me.Their own features are nice depending on the way of using it.
unethikl 09-22-2009, 11:30 PM wait, MR and GSR has different brakes?
ripnbst 09-22-2009, 11:38 PM This thread is full of stoopid.
unethikl 09-23-2009, 02:14 PM thanks for calling me stoopid.....
now if you read the whole thread, you'll feel like me, I'm sure.
avatar2140 09-23-2009, 02:31 PM ^ MR has the 2 piece rotors in the front. Subtle differences.
dcasandman 09-23-2009, 02:33 PM Man you guys ressurected an old thread. This may have been before the MR was even released.
ddawg1130 09-23-2009, 03:05 PM lol... i think this was even before your time Sandman
Scooter 09-23-2009, 03:39 PM More like when dinosaurs still walked the earth.... I think even the GSRs were few and far between back then.
dcasandman 09-23-2009, 03:48 PM I got mine in April 2008. So yes it was pre me having an Evo. Think I started looking in Feb. That year.
unethikl 09-23-2009, 07:48 PM Oh, so calipers are same, but only rotors. Didn't know that.
elkevo69 10-05-2010, 02:29 PM The rear disc brake for a gts fit in a lancer de
VegetaX 10-05-2010, 02:32 PM why would you bring this thread alive??? this is old.....
bradze 10-05-2010, 03:06 PM even if you have an mr, the wheels/tires, suspension, and brakes all need to be upgraded. oh wait, no. most people dont use their cars but the gsr stuff is good enough.
1 slo evo 10-05-2010, 03:36 PM Mine is just fine!!
2LOFD3ATH 10-05-2010, 03:43 PM Doesn't everybody change the wheels and suspension anyways? Seems like your paying for something you throw away...
Frankiago 10-07-2010, 01:55 AM Seems like your paying for something you throw away...I'll pay for you and throw you away.
I think it's like car-review noteworthy... by the books the MR is a better car. On paper it outperforms the GSR all over the place.
Looking for a 700whp monster, however? The MR is not for you.
