I put a mishimoto radiator in my evo tonight, didn't unhook the battery and thought for a second that these codes where related, BUT, I am leaning toward a different conclusion. The two codes on the AP say AIRBAG and then under that, U0184 and U0195

Well, I had a intake code that made the SES light come on, which is what made me plug my AP in to see what was up, I saw the intake code and these airbag codes. I cleared it, intake code got, SES light off and car is fine, but Airbag codes still on the AP. WTF??? I tried clearing them like a dozen times, tried disconnecting the battery and everything. WTF??? Well the intake code was from me boost leak testing with the ignition on to watch my boost gauge, no big deal. Here is my thoughts on the two airbag codes..

U0184 - Lost Communication With Radio
U0195 - Lost Communication With Subscription Entertainment Receiver Module

This is what I found out that they mean, so, my thoughts is since I have aftermarket everything in the car, SAT radio box is removed, that cause U0195 and since my factory RF amp is gone, that caused U0184. Anyone else care to agree or give me your thoughts.

Also can the dealer clear these and they won't come back, or should I just not worry about them and rock on, are they doing any harm being on???

Thanks in Advance!!!!

i have been getting the same ever since I changed my Head unit... the code will always be there... everytime I switch maps.. it will come up and when I clear it with my AP it comes back.. I don't know bout the dealer if they can disable them to stay gone..

EDIT: U0184 this one in particular :)

won't asking the dealer if they can clear the codes kind of show your hand that you have a tune?? unless your dealer is waaaayyyy cool.

I bet that U0184 is from removing that ribbon cable that connects between the HU face and that flasher/airbag switch in the center of the dash????

SOB!!!! I paid $70 for have them clear those codes, one is gone and stayed away but the U0184 won't go! I do have a new heat unit but I never had the fosgate system.

I hope this is the case though make me feel much much better that is for sure!

There is no way this is causing you a boost leak, it just so happens that is how I found out about these codes. I am just going to leave them. I have been driving with my aftermarket radio setup for 6 months and everything works like a champ, no dash lights or anything!!!!

Yes sir I do, but I only had the normal none amp none sat radio version to start, now I have it full blown. Apline system with Sirius.

I think I know what is going on then, I believe you are fine and that code will always be there, I started another thread in the audio and electronics section to see how many people have aftermarket radio's and have this code, that would make sense that you don't have the U0195 code since your car wasn't SAT equiped and mine is, my sat sirius box is removed and disconnected. I am starting to think the RF system amp has nothing to do with it, or maybe it does, but it seems that the U0184 code is going to be with everyone who has an aftermarket radio since the little ribbon cable is gone!!!!

makes sense for sure, I'll go follow the other one too cause you have me really curious now, thanks for letting me know about this thread too ;)
