I wanted to see if anyone in the DFW would be interested in attending tonight from 7-10pm at Raising Cane's in Plano.

What a waste of space this meet was. Kind of ironic, most of the cars there were or could be classified as "Ricer" or "Redneck". There were a couple of nice rides there, but not many, atleast what I saw. Most of the people had the "I am an Elitest jerk." mentallity.

I would, I tried signing up on NTEC and sent the email like it said but never heard anything back. Do we just show up or what? How do you know you are a member? The entire setup seems inefficient.

Oh totally man. I did the email thing too and I never heard back. As far as I know, there's nothing that officially makes you a member. Well I guess maybe the tshirts that were printed up, but not everyone bought one. I personally just started showing up to the meets because I said "the hell with it. I'm stepping outside my comfort zone". I didn't know anyone and for the most part I still don't. However, everyone is really cool and nice. You don't get an official welcome or anything like that, but the more people that show up, the better because you're just surrounded by other Evo and car enthusiasts. :)

You should come out anyways. I'll be there and I can bore you to death as I usually just listen to everyone else and soak up whatever tidbits of info I can since I just started modding my car back in March. Either that or ask some questions on stuff I read on here and see what opinions I get.

Besides, 1st Chinese BBQ is a lot closer to you than it is to me and I'm still wanting to check out your exhaust and I think you want to see my VG. ;)

Ok I will be there... I will be there in the GG with the license plate that matches the namesake.

Cool. I'll be the OBP with the VG...as far as I know, I'm the only Evo X with a VG in the club.

See you there man.

I STILL have exactly what you're looking for. ;)

The Nav doesn't factor into the VG at all, just the SSS (which I have).

Sweet! My wife and I will be there or be square. Our favorite restaurants are there, Genroku is the bomb!

LOL, that site has been down forever. It is actually the original NTEC site that started back in 03. When Ethan (the original NTEC president) left it was left unattended. When Sean (goofygrin) took over, there was a push to set it back up, until EVOM gave us a dedicated forum. Now that Kracka (Chris Hughes) is the president, that site has died.
You can go to EVOM and post up in the member thread that is stickied at the top of the forum. The only requirement to be in NTEC is have an Evo (no lancers/ralliarts/DSM). There are no member fees ect. We do quite a few cruises and meets. You should head out to the suspension tech day on the 10th at PTP.

You know Chris, if I ever just sit down and feel like coding in my downtime or on the weekends, I've thought about redoing the NTEC site from scratch. It would give me an opportunity to learn a bunch of new technology and also give us a usable website. The only problem I see with it is that everyone seems to be used to the EvoM forum. Starting a new forum on the new site might not be worth the trouble. As the saying goes "If it's not broken, don't fix it." We'll see I guess. :)

I'm in the 183 & O'Connor area. Do you remember where Don Herring Mitsu used to be located (next to the Frank Parra dealerships)? I live in the area behind there.
