how much was that and aren't you at all worried about interference of the leather with the air bags?

coulda just got an MR :shades:

Now don't start that again...

Besides the MR seats are mostly suede with leather on the side bolsters anyway.

The two tone looks good.

a bit over the top IMO. As some members know from my experince. Two tone is slippery slope

I have no idea what the cost was. It was all bundled into the 40k price I paid for the car. I chose not to go with a bright white, due to fears of having the leather get discolored immediately. I have had experience with off white leather before, and I was really happy with how it aged. I am hoping this does the same.

When I ordered this, I thought they were just going to do the seats. I was pleasantly surprised to find that they also did the door panels, and center arm rest. It really makes the interior look 100x better imho.

The work was done by Classic Soft Trim. They are a nationwide installer, and the only certified Mitsubishi leather installer. They have all the patterns for the car, so they can pretty much do anything.

So why is the two tone a slippery slope?

I think it looks good especially matching the car. Im not a fan of leather or two tone stuff but you pulled it off with this car.
You know what you should have done is get leather zebra stripes

i hope there is a red and black combination not a shiny one. one thing this looks so slippery so when you drive hard cornering are you slipping on your recaro?

red and black

I prefer simplicity and two tone can take you away from that. It's very hard look good and not over done. Google image two-tone and you notice what looks good and what looks bad.

Agreeeeeed, and I think this one isn't quite there. And furthermore I say save your money for mods, you have braaaand new interior already!

Dont have any firm plans to do a show car at this point, but you never know. It just depends on how things work out.

The seats are actually more comfortable then the cloth was, though I couldnt tell you why, since they are the are functionally, the same seats. I am not slipping around in them, and they still hold me tight around corners.

I wasn't happy with the cloth interior because it already detatching from the seat around the fake carbon plastic things near the head rest. In fact, I already had several staples come out. I also immediately noticed that there was already above average wear through the cloth material in the bolster closest to the door. This makes sense, since you are getting in and out of the car here. This will eventually turn into a hole, and I wasn't looking forward to that.

Zebra stripes??? Umm, thats a little out there for me ;)

Looks tacky with the black/white on white.

I like those red seats. Replace the red with the off white you got and those would be really hot. Your seats still look good though.
Im thinking a phantom black mr with those seats but instead of red put grey like the front grill. I would def do that if I had the extra cash or if my seats started to fall apart.

I love how people feel ok with themselves when they get on here and say your seats look tacky or that they look bad. I wonder if those people walk up to others and say "whoah youre fat" or "god your nose is huge."

Great looking seats, I had mine done in black, same as you part of price of the car (39,500) with Nav and sound system. you are right, seats feel better in leather.

haha, fortunately I dont get offended by what others think on the internet. Whats the point in living life if you let others make your decisions for you?

Congrats on the new car Jackson, and welcome to the forums!

I could have gone all black, but for some reason I wasn't sure it would look nice. If I were to go a solid color, I think I would have ended up with Grey leather, and not black.

The only thing I regret about doing this is how much it impacts the rest of the interior. With the leather door panels, center console, and seats all looking nice and plush, the dash looks way cheap and out of place. I just dont know what to do about it. I also wish I could have had the whole door covered in leather, not just the door panels. Then it would have such a weird transition from the leather to the plastic.

can you take a pictures which is not a close up so we can see the overall impact like this one... where you can see the whole car and the interior.

the problem with your comment is that PDXevo posted on a public forum to show his leather... Not all reviews or opinions are going to be positive. PDXevo is aware of this, hence his lighthearted attitude towards negative comments.

When you post something to show, you WILL get negative reviews... it is expected.

If you came up to me and asked me if I thought your ass was fat, Id probably tell the truth.... (not you specifically, but figuratively speaking of course :p )

However, I wouldnt just walk up to someone and say... your ass is FAT.

unless it was PHAT... but thats a whole other thread of its own... probably in the NWS section :shades:

Im not regretting the white per se, but since I wussed out and didn't get the bright white, which would have matched the car, it looks a bit awkward imho with the doors open. I am starting to think grey may have been a better color. None the less, the leather really makes the interior of this car worlds better, and I actually like the heated seats ;)

Im curious, do they replace the fabric? or upholster over the existing? if not, did they return the original material in case you want to go back to stock?

What, they did for me was to strip a new car door panels and seat and re-upholster everything, and put them in my car than took my inside and put in the new car.

Saw this in the flesh on Friday night. Looked pretty good. The shop that did the labor did a nice job, plus the addition of the seat heaters was kool as well.

I agree it isn't for everyone, BUT we all should appreciate the fact that others want to mod their cars in a way that is pleasing to them.

I would like to see a red two toned interior as well. Maybe someone...............
