Interesting. That finally puts to rest the questions surrounding whether HKS Kansai had an SST car. It seems they definitely do! And the car seems to have almost 390 hp... very interesting indeed.

Im very excited about this. Lets see what they can push the SST to do. Put all those who are convinced it cant hold a single mod to shame :-P and get those that plan to buy it all gitty inside.
The sti actually doesnt look so bad in this pic. Maybe the roof spoiler and angle are making it look a little better. Maybe just being surrounded by beautiful Evos. Maybe just long day at work so far....who knows

Why? The SST is an amazing, especially if its going to respond really well to mods too. No reason to slam it.

I can see a reason to slam it......its not a manual transmission!!

I've heard they are going to release a breather kit 1st that will take it to 324BHP, then the ECU reflash will come later. If you order a SST FQ300 they will send out a Ralliart Tech to the dealership to have the upgrades done when they become available. But this is the same people that told us they were doing a UK Eclipse and it was supposed to be here last year, so don't hold your breath!!

We have already heard the stories about overheating at the track with the SST. Yes, it will be nice to hear the SST is more robust than it has seemed to be in testing so far.

However, please read the threads on this forum about mods and warranty (http://www.evoxforums.com/forums/showthread.php?t=3750). The SST is a transmission you will definitely want to have under warranty! It will be EXTREMELY expensive to repair/replace. If you do the slightest mod to your power-train and you have the slightest problem with your transmission I predict you will be rightly F'd up!

As far as power on the SST-equipped X, the online converters I used came up with 377 hp and 354 ft-lbs of torque, up from 285 hp and 325 ft-lbs of torque.

If I'm not mistaken the white Kansai Evo X is 5mt but they also have a silver SST car. The SST car was not running on the track and was only on display in their booth though.
