I'll start: Bondo and I saw a Silver X on friday by South Hills Village. We were in his red MR. Anyone here?

I want to get little business cards made that just say evoxforums.com on it. Whenever I see another parked X put it under the wiper.

another forum I was on use to have flyers for the website. . .got a chunk of members that way. With this being an Evo forum, i'm suprised more spotted cars aren't just simply posting "hi". I figured the majority of autoenthusiasts were on most of their cars forums . . .

I imagine that intersection he's talking about is the one just past that little shopping area in Mt. Lebanon. Church on the top of the hill on the right (when heading into the city).

WW on Route 51, by Dennys, Giant Eagle, Pep Boys. Had SSS Package. I got onto 51 in front of you in my Lexus SC300. As long as you aren't blind(and weren't playing with your radio), you probably saw me.

Hope you don't live nearby, as I'd like to be fairly unique. If I had known WW was the main color prior to my purchase, I may have went Blue.

Also, Sun Chevy on 19 has an Evo X on the used lot...they said they got it from Florida. It was kinda beat up when me and Les saw it, but it looks to be cleaned up now. They want 31k for it.

Cool, how'd they do?

They did good. I went with 50% up front, against their comments and the installer's suggestion, and am very happy I did.

They accidentally broke my rear view mirror, but wrote about it on receipt, so I can get a new one from them if needed. Other than that, only iffy part was the cutting of the tint on the glass. I'd rather they use another surface to cut the end shape a bit better, because I know each of those left a small scratch now. . .

Just saw a PB GSR outside of my office at Boyce and 19. That was about an hour ago.

Saw the PB GSR again yesterday on 19, and I saw a Silver GSR going the other way on 19 at around 5PM today. When I was at the dealership last week, they were getting a silver GSR ready for sale, so maybe this is the car? I honked but don't think he saw me. I was actually driving the X today which has been rare lately.

^Bring the lady friend with you for a nice evening. Walk aroudn the show then there is an awesome bar right across the street so you guys can go relax outdoors afterwards and sip some cocktails. Its called Cabana Bar, its an outdoor bar with a relaxing atmosphere several outdoor fire pits and what not. Seriously I love the place, the only thing that keeps me away is that drink prices are a little steep and Fri/Sat they have cover charges.

On that note who all plans to attend?

I'm going to post on evom because it appears the WRXs are going to be much more present than evos. Last week, or two ago, there was a forrester that was pretty crazy.

They were definitely gold. We were going opposite ways, so not sure what kind they were.

Iunno, but mine's a bit closer to fitting that description now. Found a new scratch on the front bumper just before leaving their service department. I pointed it out to the guy I was getting my keys from, but he brushed it off.

Wicked White looked to be GSR, but had Ralliart stickers where the Evo badge is...sweet black after market wheels...really nice looking...hard to remember, but don't know if it has a wing....he was turning from SH Village and then went to Best Buy....saw him walking to car, gave a couple of beeps and thumbs up in the rain....awesome looking X!!!!!!

naa, i thought about buy cf to replace what i did but 2-3lbs and $600 more is not worth it to me! i hit a mailbox fooling around in snow and had huge dents and scratches and cracked front lip. so had it all repainted and didnt have enough stock paint to match the whole hood so i had my dads friend do that! i dont think it looks bad. but to each his own :) Think im going to have roof painted to match and rims, tint and couple other goodies are on there way!

OK is nice and flat, and all the roads are straight. I am looking at something that does flat and straight better than the Evo in the winding hills of PA. I just think the Evo wouldn't be as fun in OK until I hit 35R territory.

That being said I'd still like to get an Evo and build a 2.0 on a 35R lol.

Saw ConSynX tonight at the Valleybrook/Mcmurray intersection. Nice guy and nice car. We fooled with each other on Valleybrook road for a little while. Your car smells terrible just like mine lol. My battery was dead tonight (been sitting for a couple of weeks) so I jumped it and took it for a drive to recharge. Feels good to drive a real car for a change. And I realized that when I hooked up my AP switch, I forgot to plug the ASC switch back in:duh:

Haha, I'd have probably done the same thing. I don't have HIDs so it's not really obvious that it's an Evo at night. What tune do you have? Car seemed quick.

The DP can be a pain...I had McBee's :rock:in Bridgeville do it...from now on, they are the only place i will let touch my wheels and tires. Going there soon to have Rota Grids mounted and aligned, and also to install SSP end links and Perrin rear sway bar...:rock:

Question guys. My AFR's @ idle are lean ranging from 16- 17+,cruzing @ 13-15, and on boost @ 11-12.5 ranges. I have not logged any knock events and my AFR tables run to 19.8+
I can't find any info on AFR range for the x. Any help would be appreciated

Hey, welcome back! We'll have to get together this summer. As far as AFRs go, idle should be around 14.7, cruising in the 12-14 range and WOT shouldn't really be any higher than 12.0. When it's super cold out, I'll hit 12 flat, but 99% of the time, my AFRs are 11.7 at WOT, which is pretty much optimal per Ivey. You don't seem to be too out of range, but that idle does seem really high. Could be an exhaust leak? Who tuned the car? MIght have to mess with the fuel or something. Check your plugs out too to see if they're getting toasty.

If you want, increase the fuel pressure. It sounds like your tune is very nice, but not meant for stop and go or for repeated flat out runs (if you are 12.5 top end). I wish my other car was that dead on for play.

I changed wheels to ADVAN RZ-DF 19x9 +28 Forged rims matte black, I also added the HKS GT extension Kit, ams Hi flo cat, and a few other things. It sounds like my tune is in the ball park, I just need to tweek it a bit. Hope weather goes back to nice soon and we can hang! C ya round.

If they were purple wheels, it was ConsynX. I think the blue X I saw was wingless today, so probably same guy.

So I almost got my car destroyed TWICE today. After work I got into the turn lane for Waterdam and this old guy in a huge Lincoln just decided to come over in my lane, and didn't stop despite my laying on the horn. He had a disabled vet plate, so I decided to lay off.

Then tonight some asshat in a Suzuki or something was swerving all over the road, I went to pass him and he also comes right into my lane pretty much when I was right beside him. I honked and he decided to JERK the car into my lane. So I used my powah and blocked him in behind slower traffic for about a mile. I was seeing red but I decided not to shoot out his tires...grrrrrrr

OK...so I have confirmed it is a girl/woman that drives the WW with pink wheels...I was at Portman's Agway today, and the dude there asked if I had seen the white evo with pink wheels. i said I did and asked who was driving. he said he spoke with her, and she didn't think they would be that hot pink, she was aiming for more of a lavender....props to her for making her car the way she wanted [or at least close!]. So im about to pull the trigger on some suspension mods, but unsure about how hard they are to install? and how much a alignment would be. Im getting both front and rear sway bars. Eibach lowering kit, Whiteline RCK, and probably should get some endlinks as to all the threads about them.. For those who have them in here, where they hard to install? if you didnt install them how much did you pay for them to be installed? and how much was the alignment you paid for.

whats up brah, have not talked in a while. I did the swaybars on my evo with endlinks. It is a PITA, you have to drop the front cradle some to get the front one in and fight with the lower mount abit but its possible, the rear was fairly simple. Definaty upgrade the endlinks, mainly the rear. SSP makes some using heim joints or you can search ebay and get good quality sets with oem ball and socket joints. You will need an alignment, I ent to Mitsu to have mine done. Good luck!

Spotted Octane Blue Evo X with the large OEM large wing on Route 40 yesterday....it was about 20 minutes from Nemacolin Woodlands headed west...sounded like it had aftermarket exhaust....sounded and looked cool! I was not in Evo, so he/she would not have seen me.

I found it!!!! WW with Rota pink wheels....it was parked at an assisted living joint next to Portman Farms on Washington Pike...looked to be stock [at least the exhaust was]....later I saw her driving in Bridgeville waves were exchanged.

Haha, no help from me. I went to Iveytune in NJ, about 7 hours. CBRD is about 3-4 hours I believe. Not too bad. Plus there's Buschur, but I haven't heard good things about their tuning. My buddy did an Etune w/ AMS that he likes.

I've dealt with CBRD before and they're pretty good, but was hoping on not having to take a day off work to get it done. I definately won't go to Buschur for anything. Oh well, I may just end up going to CBRD or even NJ. I could stay with my sister in Philly, so I wouldn't have to drive it all in a day.

I imagine the hours are...crazy.
I know someone who works with race teams, and at first I thought it was the coolest thing ever. Then I realized he was always travelling during the season and never sleeping.

I appreciate keeping me in mind, but I'm not sure when I'll be back in Pittsburgh for an extended time(other than holidays). I didn't buy any tickets this season for this same reason :( (and I'm preparing for next year early w/ tires/brakes).

I think I have to drive back to Columbus on Sunday, so I'm not sure how late I'd be willing to push off I'm not certain if I'm going to stay till Monday yet...

as a sidenote, there is a Steel Cities Region SCCA Autocross at Beaverun on Sunday. It just so happens that there's an Evo 9 with two drivers that keeps taking BSP (no tune allowed), an STi that's in SM, and 2 STis in STU (245 tires)...

Im down with sharper edge i just dont know where that is. Anyone goin that is from out by the airport or between the airport and sharper edge that i could fallow out? On the autocross note. I'm 100% stock so i will be no help. would love to go but im not runnin.

there's a class for essentially 100% stock vehicles. you'd be in b stock. it does allow slicks, but most people mod before doing slicks.

if you're game, and someone else is, I'll run on my slightly warped rotor .

will allow us to autocross if we want and be a little late. we can always show early if needed. I have my phone above and am just waiting to find out of anyone wants to run. the latest I think we show is 4:30 with autocrossers being a bit later...


I'm guessing everyone will be okay with this, but if anyone wants earlier or to be a definite for auto x, let me know

I will be there. Anyone that can give directions from the airport i will need them. PM me them or something. I know where 19 is, but i just dont know what part this place is.

276/376 east to 79 south. I'll have to get back to you on the best exit because I use 55, but I think you'll be better off going further down.

edit: it wants you to take the exit after 55, which is 53 I believe for Cecil/ Route 50. Off this exit you'll veer right and go to the end of the road by BP and turn right again towards McDonalds. after that, I'd rely on Mapquest or something because I'm never on that road heading trying to head east.

Beware, you can drive right past it on 19, because "gallery drive" is just a road to put you in this shopping plaza which has a line of stores.

If I go you can check out my three month old Grids...which i curbed in a f-d up lot that I can't imagine anyone can get into....
