: Cobb AP - removal of rear 02 sensor & code
doibugu2 06-05-2010, 04:05 PM I forget the actual code, but since I removed the rear 02 sensor completly, and have the 2 boxes unchecked for the 02 sensor, I expected to not get any codes.
However, I am. What is wrong that I am still getting the code?
I tried signing up on the Cobb forums, but apparently I am an idiot and can't get the color of the moon spelled correctly and the security picture correct. Otherwise I would have posted there.
Thanks for any help.
Golden 06-05-2010, 04:10 PM You want a check in the "Rear O2 On/Off" box.
The "P0420" should be unchecked.
doibugu2 06-05-2010, 04:20 PM So they both shouldn't be uncheck. The Rear On/off should be checked.
Thanks for the help. I'll give that a whirl.
Golden 06-05-2010, 05:19 PM Yeah, give it a try and let us know. After you flash it, use the AP to check and clear your DTC. :)
JebusX 06-08-2010, 05:15 PM Update?
doibugu2 06-08-2010, 06:02 PM Drove it on Sunday and it threw a different code. Reset those and drove it to work today with no codes. But it was only a 20 minute ride. So still need a couple more days to see if it truely works.
doibugu2 06-08-2010, 10:55 PM Now I'm throwing the code p0037 which is another part of the o2 sensor I believe.
Errrgh.
Who is the cheapest to get a new rear o2 cable. Just going to get a bung added, this isn't worth the trouble.
AceEVO 07-22-2010, 08:20 PM I'm getting the P0037 Code as well. Does anyone have a link to an affordable replacement 02 sensor? I had to cut mine free spent days soaking in Blaster and using the 02 socket on an impact for removal. Eventually got so frustrated just had to cut it off after stripping the H3ll out of it.
doibugu2 07-26-2010, 06:03 PM Do a search based on my user name on the M. I posted in someone's thread that bouught a replacement. I believe it was like $120.
I only have like 26 posts over there.
Evo&Son 07-28-2010, 09:31 PM I recently added a catless TP w/ o2 cell fix and at the same time upgraded to Stage 2. Someone referenced to me that stage two automatically turned it off. Do I need to do anything else?
dminor04 07-28-2010, 09:33 PM Is there a way to turn off the airbags code too?
Golden 07-29-2010, 03:02 AM Evo and Son:
Nope, if it causes you problems, the fouler may need to go.

(is that d minor with a 4th dim? :shades:)
No. Airbags codes seem to be very hard to clear. May have to go to the dealer. Hollywood did.

I must of mis-understood another thread. I'm not having any issues whatsoever. The car is running great.

If you haven't all ready, contact cobb so that you can get the tuning software. That why you can look at the maps and make adjustments if necessary. Not sure if you have done that yet.
