so i know everyone posts logs on here for everyone to read. Is there any way someone could post up like all the things to look for in the logs like where the knock should be at, where the load boost, load timing etc... so new to tunning people ...like myself..... can know if i can move to stage2 or pull the boost pill or know what my motor is doing in general. then we could figure it out on our own we could sticky it if we got some good knowledge posted up

+1 for a sticky. I think there's a whole lot of information in these forums, but it's easy for noobs (me) to get lost and confused.

If you guys are serious about tuning, you need to do some heavy reading. It isn't difficult to do, but it is difficult to convey over threads on the internet.

Here are some important links to tuning evo's with open source:

http://forums.evolutionm.net/ecuflash/302895-how-tune-evo.html

http://forums.evolutionm.net/ecuflash/442619-important-ecu-thread-links.html

These are primarily geared toward VIII/IX's but the concept is identical or close to the same on the X's.

Once you get the tools and some basic understanding, you'll be able to ask more specific questions. Questions people will be willing to help you with. Otherwise, something as general as your first question is going to go left unanswered because you didn't search the internet for the answer.

Hope this helps guys.
