Hi guys :) Stock? asked me to post here. I just moved to the area about a month ago. I've been on dcevoclub for a few weeks, but it seems fairly quiet.

Attached are the only decent picture I have of my evo. Notice they're all either at the track or the dyno... that's how I roll ;) In all those pics, to answer Stock?'s name's question... yes, it was stock. It still almost is, hardware wise. Notice me behind the lambo in one of the pics... I started last in the pack, he started in in the top 5... I caught up and passed him on the next lap :D All in a 20 min session :yay: barging rights for life, even though the dude couldn't drive for poop

I do a bit of ecuflash tuning on my own, but I still consider myself a noob. The first thing I did to the car (other than mudflaps and stubby antenna), was install an LC-1 wideband and start leaning the car out to about 12.7 WOT, a little under 14 everywhere else in boost, and upping the boost a tad. With my baseline road tune, I put down 285.6hp/283.0tq running 93oct on a land&sea dyno. I know, land&sea sucks for comparisons, since they're pretty rare in the states. From what I've read, between a mustang (low) and dynojet (high), they're about 1/4 higher than a a mustang. I need to find a local shop that does semi-frequent cheap dyno days so I can get a new baseline on something that I'll be able to revisit often/on the cheap.

After my first couple track days, I noticed that the brakes started to fade about 10-15min into a session. Because of that, I replaced all four calipers with Tornado F4 calipers, and the front rotors with 2-piece super light forged hub Procast rotors, all from The Brake Man. Dropped about 15 lbs each off the front wheels! Also threw some SS lines on all four corners. I'm running Brake Man's street pads & dot4 fluid, with a spare set of their track pads that I'm yet to use.

Otherwise, I'm stock :) I'd like to round out some of the cheap-to-fix handling issues pretty soon. I think a rear sway bar should be enough for now. Then I'll probably focus on some basic breathing upgrades and beef up the cooling system. After that, I dunno... see how the car feels and decide between a bigger turbo, wider wheels, or coilovers. Until I decide on any of those, it's hard to pick little things to do, because most everything is dependent on what I pick with those three major components.

But in the mean time, I need to pamper the car a bit. It's been fairly neglected over the past 4-5 months since I've been either between jobs, moving, or racking up about 30k flyer miles. I'm missing a mud flap, someone stole my antenna, paint swirls need buffed out, a few scrapes on my rear bumper need fixed, and a paint spot on the hood needs touched. Dunno if you'd want fugly'n up your car show meets :p

Anyway, if you're doing any track events that require turning the wheel, LMK, I might be down :) Or if you all want to get together for some karting, I'd def be down for that, too!

I spammed enough to break 50 posts ;) I should be able to make it to the show this weekend. Gimme post rights on the super cool kids club forum to coordinate. Can we run a grill and cook up some burgers and dogs? How do you expect to win if you don't bribe the judges with delicious meats?!?
