Driving back from Radium today ran into an 08 RR MR merge onto highway 1 from Canmore.

It was white. I was on the highway didnt have much time to notice anything except that it was an x. might have even been a ralliart.

Saw a PB X fly past me (and everyon else) on the Deerfoot in Calgary (I was in the left-most lane, the X was in the right-most lane). Had mudflaps (looked like OEM "Evolution" ones) and the Mitsubishi emblem on the trunk appeared to be red, white, and green. And it had a pretty noticeable exhaust. After zipping in and out of traffic a bit, the X exited on 64th Ave exit (I think).

Bossy Z and I traded waves on the way into work Monday. Loving the car Z, the wheels look fantastic.

Spotted a tinted Blue MR on Yellowhead, right before the Hwy 21 turn off.

Yup, myself included. Only the 2010+ MR's come standard with sunroof, tech package, etc. In 2008-2009 those was all options, hence my stupid MR has the worst headunit of all time for a car with a sticker price of $52000+. Pioneer AVIC unit here I come.

BTW I spot a 2008 GG Evo literally 30 secs from my house every day. I ran past it this summer and it helped me finalize my decision on sellnig the Z and buying an Evo:godance:

Definitely had SST. Did not have sunroof or 08 Canadian bumper. Did not look like it had heated seats - buttons may have been moved. Did have leather seats if I can remember correctly.

Yup, no sunroof on my MR. I didn't want to sacrifice the aluminum roof for a steel one to get a sunroof. And the sunroof was part of the "package" that included a stereo/nav system that I didn't want.

My previous car to my Evo was a very similar shade of blue, and even though I loved it on the old car and loved it on the MR I decided that I didn't want to do two blue cars in a row. Oh well. Don't remove the pill.... Just flash stage 2 and run some logs, see what boost you hit. Chances are you don't need it removed, most people don't.

Cobb fails to make this clear but you only need to remove the boost pill if you are NOT hitting desired boost levels. They themselves have preached this on forums countless times but yet don't make that clear to your average buyer, boggles my mind.

Not to hijack the thread but to everyone who lives in edmonton, I just got some 3m (clear bra) put on my car before winter and I'm sure glad i did! I had a friend do it who does amazing work and for the full bumper, headlights and side mirrors it was only $200! I'm gonna get some more done on the side skirts and where all those damn rock chips occur. If anyone wants his number I'll gladly PM it. Who else has 3m on their cars?

For peeps who have driven over a winter, you guys get a lot more rock chips? Whenever i look on the street and see a crap load of rocks piled up i thank god that i got my 3m.

I regret getting mine done, because I only did the rear rocker panel (or whatever it's called). It peeled and looks like crap. On the other hand, it definitely has stopped some rock chips.

Regardless, I'd rather get rock chips during winter than park it and wait for summer. It's a blast in the snow.

most cover material scratches paint. And even if its the expensive ones that are ok with paint, if you have any dirt on your car when you pull it on and off you scratch your car to hell.

Yup, you're honestly better off leaving the car covered in snow where it'll stay untouched after the first layer. No difference then snow on it the first day or the 100th day. For the cover to be better, you would need it to be 100% immaculate, which would be impossible unless it was inside.

Spotted a black '09 or '10 GSR turning off Macleod in to Avenida around 4:15pm yesterday. Didn't see who was driving as I was rolling past on the C-Train.

Spotted 2 RR at 109st near kingsway around 5:45pm today!

Spotted a 2008 GG MR (knew it was an '08 because of the extended rear bumper garnish/diffuser thingy) going south on Centre Street just past 4th Ave at 7:28am.

It was the first time I've seen a GG MR on the street since I got mine in May 2009, so I felt the urge to check the license plate to make sure it wasn't mine after being stolen or something. (fortunately, it wasn't mine, LOL)

I had the wife and kids in tow. Back in the days when I use to go to meets I'd always get carried away and talk too much.

Set something up in the future. If I'm not busy I'll definitely come out.

I either go to Squeeky Clean in old Riverbend, the wand wash beside the old Movie Gallery on 23 Ave, or the Husky beside Gateway Toyota.

In the spring I'll whip out my Porter Cable and detail out any shit I've received for driving the Evo in the winter.

Last Tuesday I was driving down John Laurie/ 14th Street with a GG MR that had alot of the same mods as my WW. Anyone on here? If you live around there we should go for another cruise sometime, don't see too many Evo's in the North.

Wooohoo! I definitely love my UR exhaust. The sound is quite amazing. I just finished putting in my Defi Gauges, I'll post some pics up soon. It's great finally having a boost gauge, when it was about -20 out, on WOT I was pushing 30 PSI. Pretty nuts! That's just from it being cold out right?

I have been to the United Cycle meets a few times last fall but haven't ventured over there yet this winter (do they even have meets there in winter?) . I'm over in Sherwood Park so you probably don't see me too much around Edmonton. for sure. I had been out of karts for 4 or 5 years (whenever Fasttrax closed down)... found out Im quite slow now, after 2 runs still 1.6 secs off lap record. Went for the first time friday night and it was fun, booked a 10 person party for next wednesday for a buddys birthday.

Monday and tuesday's are hard to slot in cause its league night, but any other time Im game to go.

I heard they limit the speed until you've had so much time (aka spent tons of money) so the lap record will always be out of reach until then anyway.

Yep. Race 15 times then you can ask for an upgraded kart that will go full speed at 70 km per hour. I upgraded and you can really feel the difference

Im not sure if its a different kart, they just have limiters on them (electric engines)... much like how the first lap is limited to a minimum speed then you get race speed and they can turn that up for the Pro Race.

Went again today, it was fun but lots of accidents which cuts down on fast laps and your groove.
