Hello everyone. :)

I'm 18, and I was never into cars until now, and my god do I love the Lancer Evo's :yay:

Sorry if this has been asked a million times, but are the Evo 9's legal in Canada? I didn't know where to find out if the car was legal or not.

This is my dream car, and I want to buy this car in a few months.

They are almost as illegal as crack and twice as addictive. Be careful.

Was it the EVO or STI that was not initially sold in canada?

I have no clue (I don't know anything about cars really..), I was reading through the Internet and people mention that the Evo 9's are illegal in Canada.

the evolution 8 and 9 were not legal in canada until may 2008 when they lifted restrictions on various items. Mainly for the evo's it was the lack of a front crash bar, and the subsequent damage to the bumper and intercooler on low speed crash tests.

Other vehicles like the pontiac GTO were also illegal until the restrictions were lifted.
