A freind has these laying around his shop...he bought them for next to nothing at an estate sale. Not sure what brand they are but they were intended for a late model Mercedes or BMW, 18X9 38 offset. Not a mark on them...flawless. I think he said they were 600 per wheel new...hmmm. 500 and there mine

Me no likey. But, if it's only for track days & you don't mind being laughed at because of the looks, since you just might beat those people's times, get them. Maybe think about powder coating them... hopefully that would improve their looks & not make them any worse. Also, $500 per wheel is pricey, IMO.

NO silly rabbit... 500 for the whole set..its a joke price. He just wants them out of his garage. AND yes I was gonna' powder coat them white to match the body white on white baby..It's either these or mortgage my house for a set of white TE37's in 19"

whoa 4 votes against. I'm glad I didn't make this a poll. Id' get slaughtered

Silly rabbit... what you talking about Willis? Trix are for kids & that's what you just played on me:theeye:

Get them if you want them, who are we to stop you. If they are free & you're tight on cash, why not... just expect some comments about their fugliness at the track (but seriously, I have seen worse).

nah I was kidding about the rabbit thing...For sure I wouldn't give 2 G's for anything short of RAYS. I'm glad to get any input bad or good lol. The worse the better 'cause I'm LMAO reading these comments. Maybe they would look good on Caddy ehehehe

On a serious note, if you are planning to track them, I think its fine, but are they light? I would use them as winter tires. If you want them on your Evo as the dedicated tires, you would probably need to power coat them to black or something...

Hmm. well I'm sticking with the Enkeis for my DD. I need winter wheels/Nokian Hakkapelita's and track wheels/R rubber. Right now I'm leaning against them but I will throw one on for the final say

Uhh I love the stockers too. I'm keeping those on for the street. Just looking for some extra sets for track and winter

$500 for winter tires then go for it. Nice thing about them is they look easy to clean,
I tried cleaning our stockers today, and it was a bitch to clean, took me like 1 hour
to get all of that dried break crusty brake dust off.

MooseX
04-06-2008, 05:45 AM
yep if they fit I just might make them my winter wheels. We'll see. I'm still not sold on the look.

As far as cleaning the stock wheels I just blast them at the coin wash with wheel cleaner. Otherwise I'd go crazy

Hey Pal...how did you know my name was Buddy? Buddy of Love...and I figured that much. Still curious if the 5 spoke' look on an X is going to work. Most of the time I look for 6 spokes

Those look like some OEM rejects or something. But might not be to bad for the winter months.

If you do want them make sure you test fit before you buy them. I thought all of the older (even newer?) BMWs are 5x120 and I thought Mercedes was the same.

Yep I figured that out a few posts ago...not gonna' fit. Oh well looks like TE37's after all...boo hoo:p

can you picture white TE37's on tinted, wingless WW
with a slight drop? Wingless for the street and I'll put it back on for track days...yeah that's it

Not big on those wheels for daily driving, but if the sprung weight is way less i would use them on the track.

those are antera wheels. there an Italian wheel that is light and expensive and good. but the dont belong on an evo cause there not jdm at all so there just not right. they belong on a Ferrari from like 95 or something not on an evo
