: What do you think of these wheels for my X'?
MooseX 04-06-2008, 01:39 AM A freind has these laying around his shop...he bought them for next to nothing at an estate sale. Not sure what brand they are but they were intended for a late model Mercedes or BMW, 18X9 38 offset. Not a mark on them...flawless. I think he said they were 600 per wheel new...hmmm. 500 and there mine

MooseX 04-06-2008, 01:47 AM lol. no way there gay OR no way buy them 'cause it's a sick deal? They could make a decent track wheel. I have to throw one on to see if they are good or gay
eling99 04-06-2008, 01:50 AM no way they're :ghey:
Jackygor 04-06-2008, 01:59 AM no way man
MooseX 04-06-2008, 02:00 AM hmmm lol. I need some more input here. 5 spokes might look good and did I mention they're sick light
MooseX 04-06-2008, 02:00 AM no way man

eling99 04-06-2008, 02:04 AM doh
told ya!! :jk:
kidneythief13 04-06-2008, 02:04 AM Me no likey. But, if it's only for track days & you don't mind being laughed at because of the looks, since you just might beat those people's times, get them. Maybe think about powder coating them... hopefully that would improve their looks & not make them any worse. Also, $500 per wheel is pricey, IMO.

NO silly rabbit... 500 for the whole set..its a joke price. He just wants them out of his garage. AND yes I was gonna' powder coat them white to match the body white on white baby..It's either these or mortgage my house for a set of white TE37's in 19"
whoa 4 votes against. I'm glad I didn't make this a poll. Id' get slaughtered

Silly rabbit... what you talking about Willis? Trix are for kids & that's what you just played on me:theeye:
Get them if you want them, who are we to stop you. If they are free & you're tight on cash, why not... just expect some comments about their fugliness at the track (but seriously, I have seen worse).
MooseX 04-06-2008, 02:21 AM nah I was kidding about the rabbit thing...For sure I wouldn't give 2 G's for anything short of RAYS. I'm glad to get any input bad or good lol. The worse the better 'cause I'm LMAO reading these comments. Maybe they would look good on Caddy ehehehe
Jackygor 04-06-2008, 02:31 AM They will look good on my civic
XFactor 04-06-2008, 02:35 AM get the actual weight. if they are under 20 lbs, to hell with the nay-sayers. you can laugh as you pass by running 265 tires!
MooseX 04-06-2008, 02:41 AM They will look good on my civic
Damn..that bad eh?
Jackygor 04-06-2008, 02:49 AM On a serious note, if you are planning to track them, I think its fine, but are they light? I would use them as winter tires. If you want them on your Evo as the dedicated tires, you would probably need to power coat them to black or something...

Hmm. well I'm sticking with the Enkeis for my DD. I need winter wheels/Nokian Hakkapelita's and track wheels/R rubber. Right now I'm leaning against them but I will throw one on for the final say
Meero 04-06-2008, 03:36 AM Yeah they can be your bad weather wheels!
MooseX 04-06-2008, 03:43 AM that makes sense seeing how they will take a beating
socalevox 04-06-2008, 05:07 AM stock wheels r 10000000000000 x 's better
MooseX 04-06-2008, 05:10 AM stock wheels r 10000000000000 x 's better
Uhh I love the stockers too. I'm keeping those on for the street. Just looking for some extra sets for track and winter
Thuan 04-06-2008, 05:17 AM $500 for winter tires then go for it. Nice thing about them is they look easy to clean,
I tried cleaning our stockers today, and it was a bitch to clean, took me like 1 hour
to get all of that dried break crusty brake dust off.
MooseX 04-06-2008, 05:45 AM yep if they fit I just might make them my winter wheels. We'll see. I'm still not sold on the look.
As far as cleaning the stock wheels I just blast them at the coin wash with wheel cleaner. Otherwise I'd go crazy
08WWEVOX253 04-07-2008, 04:11 PM You said these where for a Mercedes and BMW?? Wrong Bolt pattern buddy!!
MooseX 04-07-2008, 08:42 PM You said these where for a Mercedes and BMW?? Wrong Bolt pattern buddy!!
Hey Pal...how did you know my name was Buddy? Buddy of Love...and I figured that much. Still curious if the 5 spoke' look on an X is going to work. Most of the time I look for 6 spokes
PDXEvo 04-07-2008, 09:26 PM Im not your buddy guy!
lwevert 04-08-2008, 02:13 AM Those look like some OEM rejects or something. But might not be to bad for the winter months.

on2it 04-08-2008, 10:01 AM not my cup of tea. But if they're light.. get them for trackday.

Hey DUDE! How did you know my name was PAL! I like five spokes and I have them on mines.
Mr. Win 04-08-2008, 01:51 PM Track wheels...
If you do want them make sure you test fit before you buy them. I thought all of the older (even newer?) BMWs are 5x120 and I thought Mercedes was the same.
MooseX 04-08-2008, 10:23 PM Yep I figured that out a few posts ago...not gonna' fit. Oh well looks like TE37's after all...boo hoo:p
Oh well looks like TE37's after all...boo hoo:p
rough life... :bowlol:
MooseX 04-09-2008, 03:00 AM yes it's rough...
can you picture white TE37's on tinted, wingless WW
with a slight drop? Wingless for the street and I'll put it back on for track days...yeah that's it
RpmSteve 05-05-2008, 10:59 PM no way as in their hideous and prob the wrong bolt pattern anyway if they're for a bmw/mercedes
dcasandman 05-05-2008, 11:18 PM Not big on those wheels for daily driving, but if the sprung weight is way less i would use them on the track.
janvin21 05-06-2008, 03:10 AM pls! I beg you bro don't! have mercy on your X
gabesir 05-12-2008, 07:34 PM :bowlol:Im not your buddy guy!

X-MAN 05-13-2008, 11:50 PM :amen:
tgm99x 05-18-2008, 09:21 PM those are antera wheels. there an Italian wheel that is light and expensive and good. but the dont belong on an evo cause there not jdm at all so there just not right. they belong on a Ferrari from like 95 or something not on an evo
