So this past few months ive been doing some small detailing here and there for friends, and well befor i knew it i started a little following. Keep in mind i learned as i went as far as buffing but i used a very safe compound and very safe pads so i didnt have one OOOPS. Anyway i just ordered

Portercable 7424XP 5inch with 13 items
Chemical guys business starter kits with 59 items
1 extra light cutting pad
1 extra, extra fine waxing sealant pad
paint correction 1&2
1 gallon of blitz spray sealant.
1 medium carpet drill brush
1 nano 3n superior finish high gloss polish and protection 1step

yup youtube. but it takes skill not to leave holograms. i left a few on my car they arent hard to remove at all but make sure you do it at the right speed and right polish and pad and no worries.

just don't buff in the sun obviously, shake up product before using because the oils tend to come toward the top and that's war a hologram consists of, and don't move buffer around fast- slowly work product in. I never get holograms doing it this way

Youtube and forum help work wonders. And like total0wnage said, work in the shade. You'll sweat less. If you have a garage, do it in there. Make sure you have good lighting to look at your work as you go, like a portable high output light on a stand. I leave it in one spot as I work on a section of the car so I have consistent light to see what's left to polish out of the car. That way you don't see different things due to shade, sun shifting angles, etc.
