Personally, it's not 80's until I hear Michael Jackson (preferably Billy Jean). Not sure if you could pull that off with guitars though. Although, you'd be busy in the bass.

Ok, band practice is tonight, and I need to have a list of potential songs. Do any of you think that a George Thorogood song, like "Who Do You Love" would work for out intents and purposes?

Ok, last night we decided against The Final Countdown. Not because it's a bad song. It surely isn't, but simply because we've all seen countless cover bands try to do it, and go down in flames hardcore. It's a hell of a song and we don't wanna butcher it.

Not yet. We've not begun recording ourselves yet. That'll probably be later this month. I'll be sure to post it tho.

He's a fuckin incredible keyboard player tho. Last night while the other guys were taking care of shit in the other room, me and him started working on some Dream Theater stuff. In particular the song "Another Day". I hopped on guitar and tried to remember the guitar parts. We're gonna record just us doing a few songs like that soon.

The main reason I'm asking everyone is because we're looking for any idea that people would want to hear. We've been having a tendency to think of songs that we'd love to play, but unfortunately, the audience probably will not know the song.

Think of songs that you'd want to hear if you went to see an 80's cover band at a bar. We're trying to keep a good mix of pop / harder / synth pop type stuff. Just to keep it interesting, and to keep each member appeased for a song or two. Hahaha.
