Hey guys,

Well im currently looking at a flywheel because it seems mines may be cracked/warped. Im looking between the ACT Streetlite and Fidanza Aluminum (P/N 161081). What do you guys think? Is anyone running the ACT Streetlite Flywheel (P/N 600550, i think) with the ACT ME1-HDSS or any clutch? How is the response compared to stock? Also, feel free to recommend me any flywheel that go along well with the ACT ME1-HDSS.

Thanks guys!

The street light is the same weight as the OEM. If you're looking for lighter get the ACT Pro light.

Streetlite would be better for you. The prolite is mostly for us road course guys.

Yeah. Unfortunately, i would have to drive some distance for a good road course. Houston is nothing but flat land :whipping:

Does anyone have any experience with clutch chatter on this set up? I just got my car back, and while cruising and driving i hear this weird sound and im not sure what it is..

It's not the clutch. Clutch chatter is when you have the clutch disengaged at a stoplight.

Yeah, the sound goes away when the clutch is pushed in and so far, i think it goes away at around 2600 RPM + (cant confirm this yet because im breaking in my clutch, i havent taken it over 3k RPM)..It seems that the noise is normal for cars with aftermarket clutches/lighter flywheels? I have the streetlite..which isnt even that light..

My clutch/tranny doesn't make any noise afaik. You might just want to give it a few miles. My clutch engagement really improved after 1k miles. I think the clutch needs to bed with the flywheel, just like brake pads & calipers.

Yeah, im going to wait till i break the car in, but i did a search in google about noises after a new clutch install, and found many other cars such as STi's, Hondas, Mazdas etc have these weird noises too, it only seems to be loudest in 3rd/4th around 2k rpm.

I have the ACT 6 puck with the streetlite flywheel. I love it. I had to learn to drive all over again due to lighter fly wheel.

The streelite is barely lighter than stock--you could resurface your stock flywheel and be at the same weight. If you didn't have a six puck before then that's the bigger change.

I think the pro-lite is 10lbs, correct me if im wrong..

The basics are: if you are into autox/road racing go with a lighter flywheel for response. For drag/street use, id go with the street light.. the X's oem flywheel is fine, just get it resurfaced. You can find alot more info here on the forums and on google :)

how much differently must you drive with a lighter flywheel? and what must you do differently?

You have to let the clutch out at a higher rpm to avoid stalling. I have the prolite and six puck and the car is perfectly drivable. Not sure what to say...I personally find stop-n-go traffic annoying with the setup but maybe I'm a pussy.

This set up is pretty good (besides the chutter im getting, im hoping its chutter).. its slightly stiffer than OEM which is good for a DD and is rated around 500lb tq..

i just ordered ME1-HDSS and the street lite for mine. I only plan to put down about 350-370lb ft so it will be adequate. Also i'll do more street and drag racing than auto-x so i went with streetlite
