When i asked hard questions, and they can't or want to answer, the answer or explanation was : I'm a hater, it was easier for some...

But i just was curious what i get into. I'm still not sure though :) :shades:
Also i try to stop the biased opinions -guessing vs previous models with no real life experience...

I have known Rob for a long time and a hater of an Evo no, being curious and wondering about what the the X is capable of yes. I was once a hater when the evo 9s came out because of the mivec system but when i final found out what the 9s capablity was. Dam i was inpress.
I guess what really change Robs mind was driving my evo x.:bowlol:

Very nice!

I plan on doing a de-badge as well, including the mitsu logo. So you just used a blow drier/heat gun? No fishing string or WD-40? They peeled of cleanly?

The debadge was very easy, heat gun will do the trick without question. I can't say about the Mitsu logo however, I left that on.

Grats man. I like the de-badge look. Now I think I'm gonna have to do it as well.

Edit: Just went back to look at the pic again. Are you using a blowdryer?

EzeE1o
04-14-2008, 03:43 PM
when i debadged my rsx, i used a hair dryer, floss, and removed the remaining glue with goo gone...probably a good idea to wax the area underneath after removing them

yep that's how I do it except I use fishing line and heat that up as well.

De badged looks sweet clean...maybe too clean for me. I'm thinking I'll just pull the Lancer part off and black out the other badges on my WW for that black on white accents look'

EzeE1o
04-14-2008, 05:37 PM
yeah, if i had fishing line i would use that, it probably wont break. i just used floss because (hopefully) one already has some avail in the house, while not everyone is expected to have fishing line

OK. So the trick is to heat the fishing line (and the badge)...works like a hot knife in butter

Robevo
04-15-2008, 02:24 AM
the key is use heat only... and no glue will stay there. :)
heat it up and start pulling down SLOWLY!!! You will see how easy to take them off ,only with the heat.

The big wing provides downforce. It's also part of the Evo heritage. There are plenty of us grown-ups, too, who drive X's with the big wing and don't look like boy racers. It's the way you drive that makes you look like a boy racer. It's going to shows with blinged out grocery getters that make you look like a boy racer. It's not the wing, it's the person behind the wheel.

You can take the adhesive off very easily with a tool called an eraser wheel - You put it on the end of a drill and "it done come off" real easy.

If a redneck can de-badge, so can you...
