Correct. The first 1/4 of a mile we had on there was 13.5 in a stock X.

With a boost controller set to 23 PSI, I ran a 13.3 @ 102 with a 2.09 60'.
And another time at a different track ran a 13.5 @ 101 with a 2.05 60' but my boost spiked at 25 and the computer hated me for it.

We took ours to the track the other night as a last-minute thing.

Stock clutch was slipping through 1st and 2nd (REALLY slipping) and luckily (COUGH!) I'm one of the people with the notchy 2-3 (since getting it). 3rd Gear was locking me out all night (was like trying to shift through a brick wall).

I wasn't even going to post results as that's how disappointed I was with the car, but hopefully the clutch will be in by end of this week, and I'll have swapped out the 2-3 setup and re-shimmed the trans by that point.

The car netted a ****ty 12.6@109.7 (12.6@109.7) (pulling these #s out of my head..might be off a bit--watch the video for my suckage). It's got a good bit of potential left in it when the clutch holds and it lets me get into third the first try. If I could get a clean pass in it, I'd put money on 11.9s to 11.7s at that mph.

It won't with just those mods. He won't shave off a second with a better clutch. Damn, am I the only one who would be happy with a 12.6 with just those bolt ons?

I'm not/am trying to be a dick here, but what's your experience with drag racing AWD 4 cylinders? I've been racing/building them since 1998 (concentrating on Mitsubishis as I worked for Mitsu for some time) but you seem to have a better grasp on it then me....

I know what Big Valley had on their car like everyone else with a X that's been on message boards lately. Their car ran 1.4mph faster through the traps. I've also ran 11s with 110 mph. What is your point other then being argumentive?

ACT is sending me an Xtreme plate shortly to put the clutch issue to an end and give them feedback on it. They sent me an HD Clutch a little bit ago, but I asked them to send me an Xtreme instead as we plan on pushing that car hard shortly. I'm expecting nothing but rave reviews like every other clutch I've used from them.

If you have some sort of experience that I'm lacking, or have some sort of reasoning behind your posts I'm more then willing to listen.

Otherwise, I'm wondering what your motive is....

wasn't there a review of a vishnu evo x that runs 12.7 on just a tune and an exhaust? and vishnu said it could run a 12.3 if he could somehow fix some issue dealing with the launch because the car could only do a 0-60 in 4.6 seconds compared to the original 4.9

I have a MBC set at 22psi and a buschur K&N filter, I managed 13.4x at 101.5 with the damn traction control on (forgot..sue me)...oh...and it was ~80º out.

I run lower than stock boost b/c it doesn't break up as much and I still have a better top end than stock b/c of the mbc.

I ran mine at a 13.3 with a trap of 98 and that was stock. I fucked up the launch cause it was my first time at a track so my 60ft was like a 2.5

i threw down 6 passes in my stock GSR and my best time was a 14.2. now granted im only 18 and this was my first time launching the car HARD, but i smoked 5 of the 6 cars. the 6th was a sooped up drag civic hatch, that runs low 12's

Yes Sir. 3 times as a matter of fact. But the HP numbers mean nothing because the Dyno was a very low reading Dyno Dynamics.

Let me put it to you this way. With my mods and the Cobb stage 2 93 Octane map I put down 246 WHP. Very low! Picked up 30 HP and a bunch of torque through tuning and now the car pulls hard! I'd bet I would be over 300 WHP on someone else's dyno.

I ran a 13.7 @ 99mph, 1.9 60ft, 80 degree humid weather. completely stock with about 1200 miles on the car.

I have a little over 3,000 miles now and just got tuned. So I'm going to the track and the dyno soon to see how it does.

I'll probably dyno the car and then flash my stock file back on and redyno to try and get a basline.

Exhaust/intercooler/intake/water meth/tune. Using 93 Ethanol 10% for gas. Stock turbo.

I really should be quicker, on stock tires and stock clutch I was 60" 1.7-1.75, now i'm on an Exedy twin and NT01's, which are hard as hell when cold. Makes me wonder what I'd get with warm tires and at a lower elevation! If only I could get 1.6 60 foot I think I'd break down in the high 11's! Or maybe I'm just hopeful.

I went to 75 and 80 in md over the weekend, i ran a 14.06 @ 99.29 with a 2.01 60ft time. my car has an intake and no muffler. I was also on some pretty beat tires so i'm hoping with new tires to break into high 13s, it was pretty hot at the track that nite too around 75+ degrees.

How was the condition of the track AFTER the finish line? I went there last year and it was awful!! Most of the pavement after the finish line was all busted up and or missing. It's no fun trying to miss pot holes at 100+ mph.

pretty poor, the turn offs aren't marked other then a single arrow that isn't reflective or anything, the end of the track has no turn off and is just a pile of rocks/boulders on top of grass, I felt sometimes i was getting a little to close to the end and so i can only imagine the people that were running 115+mph trap speeds or even the guys running the 1/8 mile and hitting 140+. There weren't any pot holes that i recall but a few bumps/ridges in the pavement. it was ok though, obviously capitol raceway and mir are alot nicer but 75&80 is 30 minutes from my house if i drive briskly:innocent:

Yes very possible, I hit 12.2@111mph with

AMS Short ram intake
AMS intercooler
AMS upper intercooler pipe
custom QTP 3inch electric cutout (catless)
Cobb AP ams stage 2 (I upped my boost a little with a MBC )
Hancook all seasons 18psi all around

but your should have no problem running a 12.8 good luck:rock:

I'm guessing driver mod and/or not raising their rev limiter forcing them to shift into 5th. Most cars with stock frames are trapping 115+mph...

With 110 traps I've been getting 12.2 at 2000-2250 elevation (forget exact number) and cold shitty NT01's on stock turbo. 1.75 ish 60", I've had better 60" on street tires, but the NT01's just wouldn't get warm enough to grip.

Going for 10's this year, but a lot has changed!

Thats about right, at 114 I hit 12.0s all day and even 11.9 ONE time but never again, I cant wait to go back out finally got my car all sorted out with the trans issues etc.

Stock wheels & tires. I'm sure if we went to a different track, our times would be way better.

Oh yeah definitely better times at any other track :thumbup:. I've talked to other local evo X owners that have ran at that track and typically they dont like theyre times cause theyre slower than what's posted on the forums... But i dont think they realize how bad autoclub is. So far you and I (from what ive heard/seen and read) have the only posted 1/4 track times for the evo X at Fontana. :)

holy shit...seriously? What mods/power do you have? I ran 13.2 with a dp, tp and airfilter and that was on a 1.8 60ft

nop, just driver mod. Take a look at my previous times. :shades: Its above sea level, but i think you guys are above.

Yea you probably got me beat on the altitude. I always bang out a constant 1.8 60ft. Maybe if i sacrifice the clutch i can get a 1.6 or 1.7
