I have the AMS upper and lower pipes as well as the intake piping. I can't seem to get the water marks off. What do you guys use to clean your pipes?

I had the same problem with polished aluminum and Simple Green, learned the hard way. I use Blue Magic to clean all of my stainless/aluminum.

Blue Magic huh? Does it take a lot of buffing? What do use? Just a rag and this Blue Magic stuff?

I use a polish/cleaner meant for aluminum rims, works pretty good too.

I use Wizard's metal polish. Blue magic is very good too, but Wizards is alot less messier to work with.

It takes zero buffing nearly, apply with rag, wait a few seconds then rub it off. I cleaned my exhaust tips after not doing so for over 1 year and it took 5 minutes to get them looking like mercury again.

There's a powder coat company down the street from my apt. I'm going to get a quote on all of my piping including the valve cover. Gotta see what the damage is. If not I'm gonna have some aching elbows...

Gonna have to look into WD40. Seems easy enough...

It should be alright on hoses. It won't eat them up, just make them slick.

Also, if the aluminum pipes are powder coated - make sure you don't try to use any wheel or aluminum finish polish....lol....i just slight discolored an intercooler pipe doing that.....

I've been using Blue Magic lately. It's a very fine polish that you need to rub in until it starts "turning black", mostly on your rag or paper towel. Sometimes two passes is all that's needed and your metal will absolutely shine after this with nearly a like-new mirror finish.

For tougher jobs you can use something like Eagle One Nevr-Dull (basically wadded up polishing fibers that you rip a piece off, ball up, and rub rub rub). This WILL leave a lot of swirls in the metal. Follow it up with Blue Magic or some other fine polish and you have yourself a mirror reflection back. My one can of Eagle One has lasted me about 6 years now.

Blue magic is a very thin (blue) paste. Beware - this stuff smells pretty bad lol. Use in well ventilated areas.

I tried WD40 today and it did not work. I have also tried Nevr-Dull and this did not work either. I even tried some polish my Dad has for the pipes on his Harley, and nothing has worked. I'm just going to get it all powder coated I think.

i agree on the powder coating, it just takes care of the hassle of having to clean it. but if u still want to try something else before powder coating- maybe a strong solvent like Simple green or some strong all purpose cleaner

I'll try simple green, and then I'll give blue magic a shot. If not powder coat here I come.

Tried the Blue Magic and it worked thank God. Was sick and tired of looking at those dirty pipes.

I usually use Blue Magic, then Mothers Mag and Aluminum, followed up by Mothers Billet Polish.

I used those polishes in that order after I shaved my Compressor Cover

Blue magic is good stuff
Sure is but its sometimes to aggressive which is why I follow up with the Mothers Mag and Aluminum and the Mothers Billet.

The Mothers Billet is very fine and removes the scratches left buy the Bluemagic and the Mothers Mag and aluminum.
