Anyone's brakes squeaking? I checked the metal plates and there is plenty of brake pad left, and plus, only 3k miles so come on. Yet they squeak when I press the brake a little bit, if I press it all the way it stops. What the heck is that?

You might have glazed them up a bit. Have you heat cycled them?
Try doing 6 hard stops one after another with no interuption (without locking them up) from 60 down to 10 (a rolling 10)...then let them cool on the freeway or a long road for 20 minutes or so. Then repeat. For good measure I'll do this 3 times with new brakes. I haven't heard a peep outta' mine. I don't expect to with the soft stock pads
It should bed the pads in and hopefully cure that squeek'

Another thing that works well is to spray water on the rotors. Let them rust up over night, then go get on the brakes. This will give some extra abrasion to clean the pads off a bit.

Actually come to think of it MooseX might be right. I'll try it....but the evolutionm guys are saying that there is no way to avoid this because it is an issue with the stock brembo brake pads.

Let me know if it helps you. I'll attempt this too.

I would just like to get out of these dusty pads

so maybe the stock pads suck. I'm probably going with Axis Ultimate Ceramic. Those + steel lines and some Motul 600 and you'll love your brakes
Good luck getting away from the dust

No matter how much they suck I am not taking out good brake pads. That is just wasteful. Looks like I will go with something better as soon as these wear out.

True..but you can alway put them in when you sell it and use that as a selling point. Believe me when I say you will LOVE your brakes if you do a basic Stage 1 upgrade ie pads, lines and fluid. Night and Day diff' + makes the car alot easier to drive. With better brakes you won't be so dependant on engine braking to slow down
