I'm changing the clutch on my car right now, and after reading the how to I saw that they did not remove the subframe. I have the car on the lift and it seems like the trans will not come out around the subframe. Anyone who's done this have any tips? Dropping the subframe is no big deal but if I can get away without doing it that would be nice.
And also if I do remove the subframe can I just pull the trans with the transfer case attached to it?

I did mine twice without dropping the subframe. If you look at the writeup that hollywood did, it shows you the angle the tranny has to be at to remove it. Also don't forget, in the begining of trying to remove it you need to rotate the top of the tranny towards the front the vehicle to clear the subframe

Just finished mine up, next time I'm going to remove the subframe, it's such a pain to rotate the trans around. I read that write up and it was very helpful, I would say it was better than the factory service manual.
