Hey guys,

Well the other day i decided to launch my car for the first time since i got my clutch replaced a few months ago. Well, when i did this i noticed a grinding sound as if the flywheel/clutch were not aligned or something..It also happens when i dont launch and just floor it from a roll out..It happens from around 2-3k rpm at WOT but other than that it drives fine.. anyone have a clue?? Ill have them check it out once i bring the car in for a tune.

What clutch did you put in? Using stock flywheel? If so, did you re-surface it?
Any other audible noises complimenting the "grinding" you state?

ACT ME1HDSS and ACT Streetlite flywheel, no other noises besides chutter (chutter sound while cruising around the same rpm, chutter goes away when i push the clutch pedal in), besides this nothing.. When im WOT the sound only happens until 3500rpm then i dont hear it anymore.

was the clutch properly "broken in"?

Yes im pretty sure, i took it easy/babied it for 500 miles and about 250 was straight city. I also have pedal squeaking (veryyy light clunk) while shifting from 1st to 2nd, 2nd to 3rd. I dont hear it when its in neutral and im pushing the pedal in and out..The grindy/whinning sound that im originally talking about also seems to happen in 3rd during normal acceleration (or slightly more aggressive acceleration) at 2700rpm to 3200rpm. Maybe I can record a video, but im not sure if my crapberry will be able to pick up the sound..:tumbleweed:

Did you figure out what the issue was? I found your post and have been hearing these noises for the last couple of times I took the car out. It sounds pretty bad.
