I saw them the day after my 21st bday back in 2004, and most likely I'll go to see them again. It was a good show then.

Van Halen's tour this year will be a "reunion" tour but without one of the main founding members, Michael Anthony. Eddie's son Wolfgang will be playing the bass for this tour. Here is an article found on a website (www.melodicrock.com) about what Michael Anthony said about this situation.
MICHAEL ANTHONY PROVES IS CLASS YET AGAIN:
Is this guy a class act or what?? From Michael Anthony's blog: "Thanks For The support!! First of all, I hope all of you are having a great Summer!! I want to thank everyone for all the support you're shown me during the past months. It's all been pretty crazy, and I just wanted to bring you all up to speed. A lot of you have been asking about the upcoming Van Halen tour and my response to it. It's not that I'm not touring with Van Halen because I'm going out with Sammy, I'm going out with Sammy because I was not invited to do the VH tour.
Sammy told me that if I was asked to be part of the VH tour and decided to do it, it would be totally cool, and it would not tarnish our friendship in the least!! Well it's not to be, and life goes on. I'll still be out there with Sam, and I can't wait to do some partying with all of you. One last note from myself to all the Van Halen fans out there who will be attending their shows...Wolfgang is a great kid, so don't judge him too harshly. I'm sure he'll do just fine!!....See you all soon, Mike."

Ok, went to the show last night. I must say, it was great to see them with David Lee Roth. It was a very good show overall. Worth the extreme ticket prices? Well, that's up to you to decide.
My issues are as follows:
-Eddie's playing is getting rather sloppy, almost careless
-Backing vocals were obviously pre-recorded in a studio. Eddie didn't back to the mic in time once...
-The audio mixing was overly guitar heavy. One of the big things about this tour was Wolfgang (Eddie's son) playing bass now. You couldn't hear the poor kid.
