My clutch is going out in my Evo. The dealer charges a 1000 labor for a clutch and flywheel. Even if they charged 600 I don't really trust them. I would like to go to Cobbtuning SoCal but they aren't open yet and I can't really wait. Any suggestion for a performance shop or transmission shop in the southern orange county area? Im more concerned with reputation and good service than price. I have found a couple transmission shops but would like some input from guys with experience. Thanks!

HB Speed & RRE are some of the more well known shops in So-Cal

I think (don't hold me to it) RRE has better install rates/quotes. Check out the so cal evo site for more info.

HB speed is now cobb tuning SoCal, which has not opened yet. I called RRE, they quoted me 660 for clutch and flywheel install and said I could drop it off and pick it up the next night. Called map back and haggled just a bit got a good price on a Spec 3+ , map aluminum flywheel, and a Evo 9 CMC with the Magnus bracket (I think the bracket cost too much IMHO, but I just need this done), had it all sent to RRE and it should be there Monday. Nice. Pretty relieved and happy.

Yeah, I haven't been on the forums for a while, I was wondering where HBSpeed went. Cool that they are Cobb So Cal, but now they are limited to the parts they carry.
