There was another thread on this already...but just pull out the fuse #13 in the engine bay fuse box. Look in your manual and it will tell you where DRL fuse is.

How can day time running lights make you angry when you're behind the wheel and can't even see them? Honestly why do you want them off? They're a great safety mechanic.

Having your lights on during the day helps other drivers see you. Especially when there is some glare or when it begins to get dark. your eyes are more attracted to a vehicle with its lights on then a vehicle without.(e.g. hopefully you'll notice that car before you pull out in front of them.) If they didn't do anything that was worthy of noting for safety, then why do most if not all insurance companies give a discount on your insurance for having them on a vehicle. Call yours up and see if you are getting the discount.

Most of the drivers are not even look in the rear view mirror ,before they change lanes . And even then they really dont care you are coming. As far as NJ drivers are...:ghey:
We have this years now in europe, way before it come to the states. By the law, if you leave the city , you need to turn it on, if you dont have it/day running lights/. But remember we have a different highway system /speed wise :godance: /

i see the purpose only when its raining or getting darker etc. so a good "idiot safe " for those who forget to turn a lights up. :shades:
But i hate the "here I'm" look of it, specially on the bright and sunny days...

So i like the " let me choose when i want it " option. :bowlol::bowlol::bowlol:

Daytime running lamps are pointless if you cant see a car in broad fucking daylight excusing my language you shouldnt be driving anyway. The time your talking about is evening. And if I remember correctly what they taught in drivers school is if you cant see clearly move a little bit until you can then when its safe go. Not Hope the other person sees your daytime running lamps then go.

I agree with you, daytime running lamps are pointless if you can't see the car in broad daylight. However, WE are Human. All humans make mistakes. Nobody pulls out in front of a car on purpose??? All the DRL's are is another safety feature to HELP humans make less mistakes while driving. I'm not saying every accident would be avoided if you have your DRL's on. There are still young, old, and inexpierenced drivers out there that will have more error or mistakes that will cause accidents. If you guys don't want them on, then by all means take the fuse out. Thats your right.

I only responded to Robevo asking against what as a safety mchanism did the DRL's do.

Well, you can do what you want, I never did say anything any different. Only answered your question about what safety mchanism the DRL's served.

Not quite true. There are situations when after rain or with snow melting, for example, the bright sun is in front of you and with mud on you windshield from the cars in front, the incoming traffic may be hard to distinguish, especially when they come out from shaded areas. Headlights make them easily visible.
Well, you know what I mean. I hope...

'Let he who is without sin cast the first stone...'

Lighten up on Robevo. He's new to this country and while his English grammar and spelling still have a lot of refining to go, he has more passion for the Evo than a lot of people I know. He used to be a rally driver in Hungary so, if anything, you could trade him some driving lessons for English lessons. :)

Anyway back on topic.

Trust me, I know him in real life. He writes English exactly the way he speaks it. Just read his posts aloud with a Borat-esque accent and you'll see what we have to deal with on a semi-daily basis. =D

So please, if you can't help with this issue , dont waste the time to type in.
I still didn't get the solution on this problem yet. If you can help me i would appropriate that, but i dont need your high level education here. :amen:
