I found this video on an Eclipse forum, but I understand that the throwout bearing works the same on our cars. This demonstrates how the throwout bearing disengages on our cars, hopefully helping folks to understand how to get it disengaged properly during a clutch replacement.

This demonstrated how to remove a bearing, not how it operates...

well, it demonstrates how it disengages from the pressure plate. Not saying it demonstrates how it works to disengage the clutch.
