ok! I install this AMS intake and I notice that there's a three hoses that connect to the stock intake, I know that one connect to BOV but the other two, where do you connect them? does anybody here has a AMS intake install in thier X? how did you install them? I don't have a MBC setup yet.:slaphead:

i asked the same question last week....i just plugged the pcv valve and let the boost controller line breath freely

The boost controller line shouldn't be a problem but I don't think you should plug the PCV valve. Plugging the PCV can cause other portions of the engine (gaskets and grommets) to leak oil since blow by pressure will build within the engine. I highly recommend using an oil catch can/tank.

They actually tell you that stuff on the ordering page, and even suggest using a catch can :P

Is there not 2 models of this on the web site 1 u need to use a catch device, and the other that doesnt need it? Is this thing that difficult to install? I was thinking about getting this, but have seen tons of threads on how hard it is to install. Are the directions not good?

I try to always buy from the person that makes it. Plus you can call them when stuff doesn't go right. They are more apt to stand behind there product than a 3rd party seller

I just called them, if you slip a note into the box (include your original order number and contact information), telling them you want to exchange for the one with the breather bung, they didn't hassle me at all. They were quick to inform me however that its an extra $50.
To me, its worth it to do it right.
However, I did originally order directly from amsperformance, so good luck with lancershop. I hope its no problem.

nah i already have the intake installed..i'll just catch can it
they say that using a breather would be a good temporary fix until you get the catch can. Is it just me or does the X idle funny after installing the ams intake? not only that but smells like a vaccum leak. anyone else notice that?
