i am full of questions BUT real fast:
if I get for example the greedy catback exhaust + downpipe + cold air intake
this will pass emissions in virginia, usa correct? Cause it still had the midpipe with the cat so I should be fine...atleast I think I should thats why im asking the experts out there =).

Yeah it should past emissions tests mate. What model kit you planning on getting?

Not sure yet =/, still watching videos, reading articles etc trying to figure out what will be best for my likes/dislikes (if you mean as far as exhaust/intake/downpipe goes).
If you mean model as in the evo x I am getting the evo x GSR and I probalby wont be getting to many extras on it since I will be adding aftermarket stuff anyways

That's what I did. $350 payments on a new Evo makes me happy inside.

If I went custom, and got one pipe from the turbo back to an APEXi butterfly valve muffler (this completely eliminates test pipe, catalytic converter, mid pipe, setup), would it be possible to pass emissions or does cat make that big of a difference? (this is assuming that I can convince them to overlook the fact that there is no cat, or if they didn't notice)
btw: I'm in NC

You have to have a midpipe to pass emissions...or I wouldnt even have asked this =)
thats what sucks about emissions

I'm not sure about other states, but in California you can't modify anything between the intake and the catalytic converter without a C.A.R.B. number, and even the exhaust has to be under a certain decibel. I'd check into things a little bit more for your area, but I'm sure you guys have it easier than California guys do :nopity:
